oh weell congratz to belgium.. canada played betetr then i expected just lack of finishing and very dissapointed in johnaton david as someone whos suppose to be one of best young prospects in striker position in europe linked to chelsea spurs arsenal united.. i doubt any of them will be offering 40-50m to touch him after that performance.

This should've been at least a draw if not for the missed penalty. 😭

lmao this referee and stoppage time.

Blew the first half whistle 15 seconds early. Blew the full time whistle literally the first second he had a chance despite an absurdly slow corner and a 30 second stoppage for a defender being down before a throw in.
I would counter that if they can't do it in 94 minutes the extra minute they were denied wouldnt make much difference.

Oh I don't think Canada was going to get an equalizer even if he added an extra minute on the end (which he should have), but the referee has repeatedly shown he's totally incompetent at measuring stoppage time through his career and it's especially bad in a tournament where FIFA have made a big deal about awarding significant time for all stoppages.

Tough to lose that one. Really lacked finish and confidence in the box. They were able to hold Belgium in check, which is nice (I realise they weren't at their best) but can't win without scoring a goal.

Just knew our lack of finishing in the final third would do us in. We have the guys that can measure up other NT's pace but we really lack a true #9 that can be clinical in opportunities.

We can talk about moral victories and whatnot but it's hard to when that game was up for the taking.

At least the foundation is there for 2026. We need a legit striker and CB's.

no point blaming officials, the main two guys didnt play well enough
I thought Davies was good, David was awful though, shocking to see the absolute lack of finish on his end after how good he's been in Ligue 1 this year at scoring

Best takeaway is that we have what it takes to beat both Croatia and Morocco and that might be enough with the only 1 goal deficit to Belgium... Sad to piss that one away though with no finish
