I don’t think it was intentional. I think Malkin was just trying to skate by and accidentally got Wedgewood’s head. I could be wrong but that’s what it looked like to me

After the first period in Buffalo I thought they would do well to go .500 on this trip. 4-1 is absolutely amazing. Props to Wedgewood, it's not easy to join a new team but he seems like a perfect fit.

Watching the replay, that effort by Mikko on the first missed opportunity was a lot closer to actually being a scoring play than I had thought. I saw the flub, the puck in his feet and an attempt to get it on goal during the game, but being able to see it a couple of times now, that between the legs effort was a much more dangerous shot than I thought. He was close to starting his night that much earlier.

Also, noticed on this watch through that on the post goal celly for Lehky's goal...Rants was the first there giving him a hug. The rift must be real.

Not sure what deoderant MacKinnon switched to, but Lehky is all about that scent!

Not enough praise has been given to Choo choo's goal.

He just hammers his will, from the Avs zone to the opposing goal. Power f***ing forward!

I was going to compare him to that homicidal choo-choo in Steven King's Dark Tower series, but then when I went back and looked up its name, Blaine the Monorail, just doesn't seem to work.

That Marino for Smith deal will never make any sense to me. Then again throwing all that money at Graves didn’t make any sense either.

Is Dumoulin still good though? I got the sense they bailed on him because he was on the decline.

I was really interested in him following the 22/23 season. It looked like he was coming off a really solid year and the Penguins wouldn't be able to afford him. After the Kraken signed him, I just kinda quit following him. I mentioned him a week or so ago and somebody told me to prepare my bumhole because they had recently floated the idea and it had not gone over well with some.

Just looking at his stats though...He's played 450 minutes this season and has an ES xGF% of 47.82, which is actually third on the Ducks behind Trouba (21 minutes) and Vaakanainen (64 minutes). It's a bad freaking team, and that is where it becomes really difficult for me to judge how they would perform in a different/better situation. Will it help? Sure! But how much?
