Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

USA USA USA USA!!!!

Great game. Exciting!!!! We beat you in Plymouth and beat you in the Olympics!!!!!!

Finland wins the bronze, probably the best day in their lives, Canada gets the silver, probably their worst

Hats off to the American Ladies Hockey Team... they played well tonight. They are great skaters and alway push the play.

Proud of the Canadian Ladies as well... quite the run of wins in Olympic Hockey.

Disappointed that the coach went away from the aggressiveness of their fore-check, which was working. They sat back all 3rd period and were pathetic in the OT... how many shots on net did they get in that OT (outside of the PP)... maybe 2. Why the hell would you go with such a short bench in OT. I understand the first 5 minutes you might so that, but for 20 minutes of 4-on-4. It looked like they were skating in molasses for the last 8 minutes or so. Then the coach stay loyal to her veterans in the shoot out.

Fun and exciting game!

Maybe ..but aren't the Americans a younger team? I thought I heard them say that there are 10 players for the US who haven't been in an Olympics yet.
Canada will definitely have to retool and get younger as well.

Yup, the US team is super young. A lot of 93's and younger. They've been killing us since that group started coming up.

Canada deserved to lose. They played a neutral zone trap almost the entire game. They never pushed the pace. They never really had sustained zone time or pressure. They were content to sit back and try to counterattack with odd-woman rushes. All I ever saw was one lousy forechecker. It got even worse in the OT. If they didn't have a numbers advantage, dump it in.

Seriously, I felt like I was back in the late 90s early 2000s watching the NJ Devils trap teams to death. That crap needs to die.

Is it true people from Canada left a loonie under the ice at the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City?

Yes that's true. The guy making the ice in Salt Lake City was Canadian so he left a loonie under centre ice for good luck. That loonie is now (or at least at one point was) in the Hockey Hall of Fame.
