Don't think USA men's hockey will ever be #1 considering they have our 4th tier athletes, where as in most of the other countries hockey is the premier sport.
Our top athletes play more lucrative sports that are also more accessible like football, basketball, baseball, and hell... even soccer is offered in every school.
Some people are acting like USA won a gold medal against a mens stacked NHL team Canada.
Erm..... ok?Some people are acting like USA won a gold medal against a mens stacked NHL team Canada.
lol
Hopefully the Americans leave our flag off the floor this time.

Who cares. They won in shootout lmao.
And canada deserved to lose with that pathetic effort.
But still pretty funny that usa needed a random shootout to win tho. Haha takes away from the win imo. Ot goal wouldve meant more.
USA deserved that one for sure. Canadian coach is actually brutal, and Canada was so much slower than the Americans it was laughable. They tried the same thing going up the boards on the right side probably 6-7 times during OT and it didn't work every time.
They really need to re-think their staffing and player selection. Maybe get a coach who actually has some high level/international coaching experience or even somewhat a winning record would be nice. You cant tell me she was the best option. Her coaching stats are actually awful. And they need to get some young players with speed on that team. Nurse made 2 great rushes in OT on the 2 shifts she got and then just wasn't played. It was gross watching them slug around the ice while the US skated circles around them.

Maybe ..but aren't the Americans a younger team? I thought I heard them say that there are 10 players for the US who haven't been in an Olympics yet.Get Team Canada a new Strength and conditioning coach.
