Untill we beat them in the playoffs they aren't overratedYou guys overrate Florida to a massive degree. Unless they add at least two quality defensemen, they are going to be in trouble.
That was criminal, he was exactly what that team needed in the worst way, he gets put in their lap and they pass on it.Thank Dumbas and Shanny cause he begged them to be Leaf according to Kyper and at half the money they gave a washed up Simmonds instead.
It was a ridiculous call, but fitting for this league. It should have been a goal.Pretty clear offside?
Why would an offside goal be counted? It was a ridiculous call, but fitting for this league. It should have been a goal.
Please do. Report back?!I going to go on the EDM board now.
No.
It should count because Klinberg is garbage and he’s just out there and isn’t considered a skater. Why would an offside goal be counted?

You got a rule number on that? 36.S maybe? It should count because Klinberg is garbage and he’s just out there and isn’t considered a skater.
Special players rule. You got a rule number on that? 36.S maybe?
lol
Because it was offside by a hair and had no impact on the actual goal itself. Sometimes taking rules to the extreme makes a game worse. Why would an offside goal be counted?
Off-side is off-side. Black and white. Always has been. Most off-side calls have nothing to do with the play. Now we have the technology to confirm it. Great call from the video team.Because it was offside by a hair and had no impact on the actual goal itself. Sometimes taking rules to the extreme makes a game worse.
That’s not the worst idea, but then it becomes a call similar to goaltender interference here we won’t actually know what offside is and it’ll be a ref to ref decisionIts very simple. If no official can tell in real time as the play is happening if a player is offside or not, then it probably means they were close enough to the redline that they were onside. If there's a offside challenge and you replay the video at normal speed and you can't easily see that player being offside, then they're considered onside.
If a player is actually offside then you should be able to easily see it at normal speed just like the officials call players offside many times per game without any video replay required to see if that player is offside or not. Any offside review that requires you to slow down the video to frame by frame to tell if a player is offside or not means they're not offside.
Are you new to hockey…….with all due respectIts very simple. Then you have soften up every other rule and then it will be a worse gong showThat’s not the worst idea, but then it becomes a call similar to goaltender interference here we won’t actually know what offside is and it’ll be a ref to ref decision
Except human error is at play. There have been some pretty egrigeous off-sides not called. Its very simple. I thought they were, earlier in the season. I see clearly now it was the goaltending.I find it hilarious that there are still people who somehow think this leaf team is different and going to make it further in the playoffs this year. If they do, it would because of incredible goaltending. Like how Hasek lead Buffalo back in the day. Berube has made them marginally play better defensively and offensively much worse. That said, it’s not a Berube problem. This group will always struggle when other teams push and take away time and space. Anyway we won…yayy…I guess
They would have to change the rules in order for tgat to be possibles. Rules are set, rules have to followed whether we like them or not.Because it was offside by a hair and had no impact on the actual goal itself. Sometimes taking rules to the extreme makes a game worse.
So what other rules would you like them to ignoreBecause it was offside by a hair and had no impact on the actual goal itself. Sometimes taking rules to the extreme makes a game worse.
To be fair they did ignore quite a few tongiht lolSo what other rules would you like them to ignore
If it was a playoff game I’d be mad at the rule if I was Edmonton, but it’s Feb 1 and one team looks like it’s poised to go on a another playoff run and one plays their home games in the eastern time zone.Except human error is at play. There have been some pretty egrigeous off-sides not called.
Regardless, it's in the rule book. Everything was done above board AND it helped the Leafs secure a win.

It's the core, always has been. Always will be as long as they are together.
Begging them to prove me so so wrong.
Over the moon they won! Against a Canadian rival, on the road, after losing three in a row.
Hopefully they can feed off that in Cowtown on Tuesday.
Fraction in my point of view. One that had nothing to do with the goal, but under the current rules a good timeout and challenge by BerubePretty clear offside?
Right so let’s not ignore one of the few rules that is black and whiteTo be fair they did ignore quite a few tongiht lol
I don't think you can be mad at a rule being called as designed. Disappointed, sure.If it was a playoff game I’d be mad at the rule if I was Edmonton, but it’s Feb 1 and one team looks like it’s poised to go on a another playoff run and one plays their home games in the eastern time zone.
