They play with intensity only when the game is tied or they’re behind. As soon as they’re up by 2 the just turtle.

No killer instinct. Core leaders are way to laissez faire.

You guys overrate Florida to a massive degree. Unless they add at least two quality defensemen, they are going to be in trouble.

Outside Washington, they look like the best team in the East. Their flaws are less than every other East time I feel. And I am not even sure Washington is for real.

The Leafs may not win three playoff games this year. The O/U right now would 2.5.

They gave 30 games to learn to play hockey. Who knows maybe it’ll click but it’s not looking good after the first 8 yrs and 52 games.

Depends on the matchup obviously... but I have not seen anything to tell me this team is as good as last season, let alone better.

Sure, the goalies are better, but how many playoff games can they steal?

They need average goaltending. Those that laugh at the Oilers for having "suspect D and goaltending or an easy path" fail to realise that the Oilers beat the teams they should in the playoffs, have been to a conference final and were a win away from the Cup with a broken Drai.

Take last year for example.

They should beat the Kings and they did. I just have a feeling if it was the Leafs, Pizzaboy will take both AM and MM lunch money like Coyle did for the Bruins.

In the 2nd round, they beat a Nucks team without their 1st and 2nd goalie in 7 games. Leafs will probably lose in 7 games and we all point to being OUTGOALIED.

I look at the opposition and there’s not much there so it’s conceivable that they win.

Of the current playoff teams I see two that are unlikely to come out of the east - CBJ and the 53%ers.

Compared to 2021 when the Leafs were ahead, Edmonton took several steps forward as contenders and experienced a lot of post season success along the way. Their stars play with a serious edge and they have that urgency. Leafs don’t feel like they’ve really grown at all despite glimpses here and there.

To quote Ovi: "same team, different coach".

We are still waiting for the stars to show they can play hockey.

The 4th goal is honestly what I expect. Sharp, short passes through the neutral zone leading to an opportunity.

Where the f*** is that? Normally we do a stretch pass, or one guy carries the puck through the neutral zone into the offensive zone. So easy to defend.

We play lame loser hockey on offence imo. Basically neutering the skillset we have and forcing a dump and chase style. It needs to be a combination based on the opponent or the situation.

Really disappointed in HOW we play.

Leafs have been playing the worst hockey of the season and they still beat the loser oilers. It should shut that annoying fan base up for a little bit.

Just imagine if Tavares and Knies were not just coming back from injury and the team had Stolarz in net. The leafs would smash them.

The leafs played 1 good period, And that was enough to beat the Oilers at their very best.
