This is the kind of signing that San Jose fans should be applauding. Walters cost San Jose nothing, costs Worcester virtually nothing (just a per diem and they're probably paying his hotel bill, plus the flight in from wherever he came from), and he gets a few game (or sometime just practices) to show if he's worth a contract for next season.

I for one see this as a HUGE step in the right direction for San Jose as they no longer blindly hand out NHL contract to borderline free agents that after a few games show they really have no NHL future.
