What's the story on single game tickets to pool play in Toronto? I understand that they are only selling full packages now but when will they start appearing on ticket exchange sites and for how much? I wouldn't mind catching US/Sweden or US/Russia but I can't pay that ridiculous price for the tourney - which by the way is straight out criminal.

No dates yet for smaller packages. it will all depend on how brisk sales are for the full event.

I'd be shocked if any of the group stage games in Montreal get a crowd over 10,000.

They barely sold any close to that for the Canada games, all those people in the seats had free tickets because they didn't want to look embarassing on television.

This tournament should not be held in Canada if they will charge such prices. Keep it in Europe.

It's a joke, these are kids playing Hockey, Finland had it right, $50 should be the maximum price for such a tournament so anyone that wants to go, can. It's about inspiring the next generation of children, and if they can't go the game what's the point of this tournament.

Along with the nhl cash grab cup, World Juniors in Montreal will fail. Thank God!

Agreed. They also made the mistake of guaranteeing two tournaments, not thinking there would be such a backlash from Montreal fans. Don't get me started on the ticket prices. I know there's plans of bringing the tournament back to Vancouver again, and I imagine the prices are going to mirror Toronto/Montreal. Here's to hoping they bring the World U17 Challenge to the Vancouver area sometime soon...

A lot of the people I talked to in Finland had no interest in going to the games in Canada. I heard a lot of "it'll cost me as much to come here (Helsinki) as it would Toronto. At least Helsinki is something different." The Finns got it right; charge a reasonable price, be creative (one ticket for all games in one arena per day), and you'll be set. Plus, the idea of promoting the 2017 tournament before the 2016 tournament even began irritates me. Give Helsinki the spotlight, then, once the tournament is done, promote all you want. I'll go to a pre-tournament game if it's do-able, but I won't go near the actual tournament. I'll wait until it's back in Helsinki.

I flew up to Montreal from NYC last year to watch the USA play. I went to every USA game in group play for probably less than 200 bucks from the secondary market and that's including the 100+ I spent on the Canada game. I sat on the glass for all the games not involving the US or Canada for like 8 bucks a game. All in all I had an incredible week of watching hockey and I highly recommend if you're coming to watch another country just use the secondary markets. Wasn't an expensive trip at all.
