According to team USA coaches, no, he isn't.

Hischier will be top three. People sleep on him too much.

I think its much more likely that people aren't sleeping on him, but rather not ranking him as high because he's on Switzerland. He's got a much worse supporting cast, and is likely to play fewer games than a lot of the other players.

Why did you have to ruin it? It was way more fun when he thought everyone was just against his opinion and didn't realize that Debrincat won't even be partaking in this years WJC.

Yes, I was thinking about that, but ultimately someone else would have broken the news to him. Being as it was me he was arguing with, I figured I would put him out of his misery.

Agreed. And though he may be among the top ten, to say he would be top three might be a tough ask considering the team dynamics at play that you already covered.

I feel like the Swiss could surprise. Also he showed pretty damn good in solo against Canada. I guess watching him every day I am just excited for everyone to see hoangood he is.

Well, now is his time to show the world. As for the Swiss team in general, they've looked competitive in the pre-tourney. It's too bad they don't have Malgin. I know many teams have been hit by the NHL not releasing guys, but the less talented teams just don't have the depth to compensate.
