What kind of playbooks is every nation coming with to the WJC? School boy hockey, ice hockey of the coniferous forests, mother nature's ice hockey, two-face hockey, vertical ice hockey, harpoon ice hockey, ice hockey of cooperation?

Finland's head coach Jukka Rautakorpi for example is struggling between meidän peli and individual-driven jungle ice hockey. Meidän peli is what brought Finland couple golds in the few latest WJC's and made Puljujärvi the fourth overall pick in the NHL draft. Rautakorpi's straigthforward approch increases psyche energy according to the Leading One, taking away from the flow and nuanced instinct of the play. In this way, receding from meidän peli would take away sensibility of the players to attack in all possible rhytms.

Of course it is still early days with the tournament so as always, let the play show.

I'm pretty sure that Bob Mckenzie reported that Canada wants to play frozen tundra hockey, which is of course traditionally played south of Mars and north of hell, though with a polar bear mentality and a touch of caribou conservatism.

I thought I heard Ducharme say that we were going with the "Seal Clubber's Manifesto" this year, which emphasizes grit and hitting things with sticks.

Canada's motto this year is that they are a special team, so I would expect Team Canada's special teams this year to be played with a specialness that has been found lacking in recent years. I would certainly expect their penalty killing, power play, punt and kickoff returns, and point after attempts to be strong.

The Leading One's analysis on the WJC play has begun. I believe other nations do not have similar resources for proper playbook discussion? Feel free to add on your own insight as well.

"First period Finland - Czech Republic #u20fi went as I have taught: 'swiftening' of the play leads into slowing down the play in both undermanned and even attacks."

"Second period coast-to-coast youth hockey. Went slightly for Czechs. We even saw a batch of new old (2003) Rautakorpian 'elephant pucks'."

"I already told weeks ago that 'swiftening of the play' (slowing down the play) would not increase the 'effort', quite the opposite, as the quintet play breaks down."

While some saw Finland winning because of star players such as Saros and Teräväinen or Aho and Laine behind each and everyone one of team was ice hockey of cooperation, 'our game', meidän peli in Finnish.

Canada: dump'n'chase
USA: carrying the puck to offensive zone like NFL RB's
Sweden: 1-2 easy passes in own end and suddenly teleported to O-zone
