I went off the grid this round and chose Oskari Salminen. He played very well in the AHL playoffs with the Moose this year, and is expected to be the 3rd string goalie for the Jets.

PS...I never knew about Arvid Holm signing with Colorado until today. I thought he was our #1 AHL goalie, but I noticed Salminen got all the starts in the AHL playoffs. Did management sour on him?

They did. Holm put up better numbers all year but it was clear Salminen was their starter. I get it, I don't like Holm's odds of making it. He was as chaotic in the net as Berdin without the creativity.

I see Torgs as a bonafide 4th line NHL grinder with enough skill to get by. And still just 21. Could easily go, Kniezev, Saliminen, or Lundmark too.

Torgersson. I have a feeling that he'll rise on this list quickly this season. He really started to find his game later in the Moose season. I think he can play with pace and has good hands, to go along with his size. I like the idea of the Jets filling their bottom 6 with big, fast forward that can score a bit and put pressure in opposing D.

Plays a quiet game, I guess
He didn't in the playoffs. He was loudly awful. That's why I'm curious if he was injured or not because he wasn't great but also not really noticeable for most of the regular season. Milwaukee had a lot of players on the cusp of being in the NHL, so I'm not sure if it was a sign of how he would fare in a higher paced environment or if he maybe had a nagging injury. But either way at this point what he does makes him a good 7th defenseman option on a good AHL team. He's still young and can get better but his ceiling is very low so I can understand going with somebody like Kuzmin, who has a lower floor but much higher ceiling.
