Figured it's about time to move on from 2023. I'm finally starting to able to accept the fact that the Bombers just completely failed to show up in the big game (AGAIN) and ready to talk next year.

Mod's can you close the 2023 thread and move us over here. I think it's worth creating a new thread for a new season to start fresh.

Been a phenomenal off-season so far. Streveler back in Winnipeg, Oliveira and Schoen BOTH re-signing, Toronto absolutely hemorrhaging talent after their dumbass Kelly contract, Riders fans on Reddit thinking Hardrick is gonna turn their offensive line around when he’s clearly in a hard decline… fantastic stuff all around.

This is probably the most excited I have been to be a Bomber STH.

We are so fortunate that Wade Miller and Kyle Walters are at the helm. Just pure magic managing the signings of Streveler, Oliveira and Schoen. Maybe at the cost of Hardrick and Jeffcoat but I'll take that trade off all day.

So looking forward to some beautiful summer days at the stadium enjoying beer and Bombers. Best bang for your sporting buck just got even better.

What's the range of prices for season tickets? If you don't find me asking?

Around $280 on the low end and $1,280 on the high end. I pay $954 a year and sit lower bowl, right in front of the Bombers bench near the 15 yard line. Worth every penny.

Agreed. I’m getting seasons with my daughter now that she’s 9. She loves it. We went to 3 games last year plus the exhibition and yup. Well worth the money. Money well spent. Guaranteed a fun time. And I don’t even drink. Way funner for kids than a jets game.

We sit in the upper deck row 6 and love it up there. It's a great view to see entire play develop and is not nearly as far from the field as the upper deck in the old stadium. You don't feel disconnected at all from the atmosphere and in fact maybe better at least in our section.

I've also had season tickets in row 6 in lower bowl but unless you are close to mid field the view is not nearly as good. Also our section there was mostly quiet seniors not that there's anything wrong with that but not as fun.

Yup, I sat in section 223 for a few years when I was a student and the seats are still great and the atmosphere is phenomenal. There really isn’t a bad seat in the house.

So we get a bye week at 9-0, another when we are at 13-0 and another at 17-0. I like it.

Don't have a link handy but I believe the Bombers re-signed Brandon Alexander today for 1 year.

Was going to say, I like that the bye weeks come a bit later and are spaced out nicely. Also glad BC has to come to Winnipeg twice and that Big Blue go on an extra trip to Saskabush. Quite considerate of CFL scheduling, giving the melon heads 2 opportunities to witness how a real football team operates.

His hip kept him off the practice field for pretty well the whole season, he tried the best he could and while he had a couple of good games he wasn't very effective for the most part. He didn't like the decision the Bombers made to not re sign him and he's hurt but it was the right decision by the Bombers.

That’s the best decision for him to make. He couldn’t stay healthy, and it’s probably not worth it anymore to keep putting your body through that.

He made a big impact in his tenure here, I’ll always remember his Grey Cup ‘19 strip sack. I’ll still wear my Jeffcoat jersey.

That 2019 DL is one the best the CFL has ever seen. You start with the ends in Willie and JJ, but you had Jake Thomas at the top of his game in the middle along with the brilliance of the little big man Stove Richardson. Injuries derailed his career but he was an elite DT for a year or two there, particularly in pass rush. They also had the speedster Craig "Death" Roh rotating in on the edge along with prime Thiadric Hansen before injuries also slowed him down. As fearsome a 6 man DL rotation as you can imagine and they ate up the Ti-Cats in the Grey Cup. I doubt we'll see another line that talented AND deep in a long time.

It's too bad that JJ had to retire, he did get offers he said but with paycuts. Unfortunately staying healthy IS a skill, and a valuable one in a cap league. And that's the one thing Jeffcoat could just never master and it was time to move on. But when he was on the field he was a heck of a DE, always maybe a little overshadowed by Willie (realistically who wouldn't be?) but it allowed him to the elite Malkin to Willie's Crosby if you're looking for a hockey comparison.

Bombers are losing STer Kerfalla Exume. The 2019 8th round pick was a beast STer in his rookie year finishing 2nd in CFL in ST tackles in 2019. Left as a FA in 21 to MTl he saw his role continually shrink in MTL, to where he barely played at all in 22. Released by MTL early in 23, he returned to Bombers where he had a bit of a resurgence last year recording 17 ST tackles (his highest since his rookie year in 19). Signing with the Argos.

Short yardage QB Dakota Prukop signing with BC. He was always expected to leave after the Streveler signing. Streveler is Brown (#2 QB) and Prukop (Short yardage specialist) all wrapped together in one package so I expect Bombers will be going with a young rookie developmental guy as #3. They signed a rushing QB who threw for 5k yards and 46tds in his senior year in college recently in Eric Barriere. He's an Eastern Washington grad, same school as Vernon Adams, Bo Levi Mitchell, and Matt Nichols.
