I question bringing in Green Day. Sure, they are energetic and bring in a sense of nostalgia for us Gen-Xers, but I'd still rather see purely Canadian content. The CFL has too much American influence as it is.

nostalgia for us early millenials too. I grew up with Green Day and I'm a millenial.

Yeah, my teenage boys were singing along with some songs - they were big when I was in highschool but didn't really follow them much back then... I like the Weird Al versions of all the 'nostalgic' songs...

Agreed. Canada has so much musical talent. We don't need American bands to perform in our country's game. Let them perform in the Superbowl.
