I'm only 30
Early 20s here.

My favourite player as far back as I can remember is Charlie Roberts.

Over the years, I liked Barrin Simpson, Fred Reid, Doug Brown, Moe Leggett, Alex Hall, Andrew Harris, and, recently, it’s been a three-way, nay, four-way, nay, seven-way tie between Adam Bighill, Willie Jefferson, Kenny Lawler, Dalton Schoen, Nic Demski, Brady Oliveira, and Zach Collaros.

All great choices, I was trying really hard to keep the list short and not just list a bunch of the best players from any given year

A couple I'd add would be Jovon Johnson, Odell Willis, Philip Hunt, Marcellus Bowman.

And an unsung hero through some really lean years Clarence Denmark.

Mike Sellers was a beast when he played here. #33.
Thunder 'n Lightning was the BEST running combo in CFL history (I might be very biased... it was when I had season tickets so I could see them live). I think I've referenced the epic game vs BC here in the past: both had over 100 yards rushing, I think our rush total was over 300 yards as a team! One drive we just ran the entire length of the field, BC couldn't stop us... It was one 10+ yard run after the other, between Sellers and Roberts!

BB were kinda sloppy D wise
They got burnt on 3 or 4 big plays, and got a big penalty or two, and that was the Elks' entire offense. I've seen worse... They held them to 18 points, can't ask for much more. I mean, the previous 2 years maybe we shut them down to 10 points or less, but we were all-time elite level back then.

There was what, 1 big run against the whole game? Part of it is Edmonton's crap coaching, though... And Edm receivers dropped a couple of balls, which helped.

Toronto struggled against Saskatchewan, BC got beat down by Calgary (in a game that still mattered to BC). I'm not panicking at this point, we still look better than everyone else. It's just that the bar is low this year.

See posts for favorite Bombers past and present:

Present is easy-Dalton Schoen, Brady Oliveira, Nik Demski, Adam Bighill, that Willie Jefferson dude and I'll include Andrew Harris in this group even though.....

Former Bombers, I could list a ton that I liked for one reason or another:

The obvious ones for me anyways: Deiter Brock, Milt Stegall, Joe Poplawski, James West, Willard Reaves, Chris Walby, Doug Brown.

A few others: Tom Canada, Brian Herosian, Bernie Ruoff, Tyrone Jones, John Helton, Rick House.

Though I saw neither play a special shout out to Ron Latourelle(one of my high school teachers after he retired) and the legendary Bud Irving.

That was a sweet football game. Offense was so good...improvement by the defence in the second half.

Saw a woman in the stands wearing a hoodie with the following written on it:

BITCH: I'M FROM WINNIPEG.

Perfect...just perfect.

And out here in bc, The Lions fans will be even more beside themselves after what Calgary did to them. Tempted to go to the west semi.

That sweater is from one of the collections of We Heart Winnipeg. Totally recommend them, especially as a very local clothing shop. I'm not a fan of all their designs (like the "BIFW" you referenced) but their choice for sweaters, t-shirts, etc. is well-sized and extremely comfortable.

Bombers-related: going to hope/assume that they give Collaros and the majority of the first offence (maybe rest Oliveira, Lawler, and Demski) unit a chance to get a TD drive next week and then sit the rest of the game to keep them healthy and uninjured. Something to keep their mojo going. Still thinking Oliveira should be considered MOP in the entire CFL.

against the elks, kinda worrisome, against a team like the argos and maybe even the lions which both have a tighter defence, those big plays along with a an offence from the opposing team.....I dunno.

all this optimism kinda sounds like a repeat of last season at this time...

Idk, a bunch of people thought they had no chance to win in BC two weeks ago, and yet they did.

The Bombers no doubt aren’t as good as they were in past years but the level of competition is also watered down. Toronto and BC are both average football teams, compared to most other years. It’s a strange year.
