I know it's hard to pencil them in because obviously we don't know who Detroit will get ... but these lineup projections are inevitably going to have FA signings in them - lots of cap space after this year. We're not going to have a roster full of home grown guys

You left out Burger and AlJo. Tank has another year on his contract. Holl and Gus do as well. Even then, that looks like another lineup that won't see the playoffs.

Debrincat Larkin Raymond
Burger Kasper Buchelnikov MBN
Danielson Compher Tank
Rasmussen Copp Veleno
Mazur

Edvinsson Seider
Chiarot Pellika
AlJo Holl/Gus

Talbot
Cossa

Edit: Given what the roster looks like, I think MBN has a better chance of making the team than Buch.
Chiarot and ASP should never be in the same pair, if we don't get anyone else, I d rather see Holl with ASP

Burger and AlJo are RFA, and considering how bad the recent UFA signings have been, Stevie might as well keep his RFAs and not go dumpster diving for more garbage UFAs.

A collection of spare parts can't be traded for big talent. That just doesn't happen.

The more likely scenario is that the crappy UFA signings get buried in GR if the prospects make the NHL roster. We've already seen that with Holl and Husso.
Dont disagree but can see him piling up a few guys and a pick or 2 to make a deal. I'm not against all the kids coming but you just know he'll love some

sure not star guys but wouldn't say spare parts . A mazur + buium + 1st protected I'm sure can fetch a good player . You see trades all the time involving a 1st and young players for a pretty good established guy

I cant see buchelnikov mazur pellika cossa nygard danielson soderblom lombardi all making it + kasper & Edvinsson year 2 ... I'd have 0 problems but it'll never happen

Even 4 rookies yearly for 2-3 yrs as much as I'd love I cant see but yzermans gotta stop delaying the inevitable... I just see a move involving kids at some point

Chiarot and ASP should never be in the same pair, if we don't get anyone else, I d rather see Holl with ASP
Holl and asp are both on the right side

The problem isn't cap space, the problem is what you have to spend the cap space on. This UFA class is god awful when you get to the realistic options.

Think that Noah Dower-Nilsson's 5 points at 14 SHL games is much much impressive, than Liam Dower-Nilsson's scoring at Allsvenskan.

Like the younger brother is at SHL level as 2 years younger guy.

Kiiskinen is back today after his injury. He missed a month.
I have no clue why anyone still talks about LDN. Also not sure why we don't talk about NDN more.

NDN - LDN - MBN
ASP - ???
Still need another hyphenated defenseman to have our alphabet five...
Ekman-Larsson fits the bill.

Otherwise, Stevie will have to resort to drafting Dakoda Rhéaume-Mullen from U Michigan, projected 3rd round. As the name would suggest, he is Manon's son, so this can be both the nepotism pick and the Michigan pick as well the the required hyphenated name pick. Has not put up a lot of points, which is fine if he's going to be playing with ASP.
