Takes a pretty high level of douchery to pile on a kids play after he's had a medical emergency. Especially when you support a team that's had a player pass away & that always remember him.

It's like you get off on certain Windsor players playing poorly if not when the entire team struggles. Really fricken bizarre.

Regarding the game itself...

I didn't see the Woodall hit during the game, but I've just seen the replay. The Soo player came across the zone, Woodall went to hit him, and Vader either lost balance or tripped on something at the last second and got nailed in the head. That didn't look malicious and it was simply bad timing. I know Woodall got 5/GM but I can't see that being a suspension (or a game at most for optics).

The first period was exactly what I expected - a contending Hounds club feasting on a 10th place Windsor team. Costanzo kept Windsor it in but...

The second period wasn't much different; three shots isn't going to win you any games. I think fatigue started to set in there for Windsor. It's tough to blame them, either.

Frankly, I'm surprised they played the third period with Cristoforo's issue. I don't know for certain what the issue is, though I've heard a possibility (not low blood sugar or anything like that). Regardless, for the club to come out and play the third and have it be their best period... that takes serious determination and I give them credit.

Costanzo with 42 saves and played like a rock. He has to be your starter going forward.

With the loss, they're now officially out of playoff contention. Flint won but it didn't really matter.

Now, let's get them back home, figure out what's going on with Cristoforo, and get ready for Thursday. All I want for Cristo is to be healthy; if he plays again this season, that's a bonus. He's 17; his lack of this or lack of that is completely irrelevant right now. The most important thing right now is for him to get the full help he needs, make sure his body is healthy and he can live a normal life, and push forward with whatever that may be. The fans and organization should be behind him; he's somebody's son, maybe sibling, nephew, cousin, etc. Put the petty BS aside for a bit and focus on the human.

Guelph is in town on Thursday, they're on the road on Saturday I believe, and then home again to the Knights on St. Patrick's. That's going to be a, um, show...

Another Rough outing. Writing is on the walls for these kids and i think most or them are looking forward to some time off and a restart next sesson. Some players battling for a spot next year.

If we get a top 3 pick in this ohl draft is should be a lock for a solid player that can come right in and help. Not much videos and stats online for these top prospects so i will be more intrigued to watch and learn more in these weeks leading upto this draft ,definetly excited to potentially add a game breaking player with a top pick.

Tought news on Christophoro. He get alot of shit on here from a few posters and yes theres definetly some things he needs a coach or coaches to sort out and round out his game 0but you dont put up the points like he has so far in his young career if it doesent come with some potential, & its there he just needs some guidence to round out his game, i still believe he will turn out good the bext few years for us. Hope the health episode he had last night is nothing too servere and he can bounce back and play hockey...

These last few weeks all we can ask as a fan base is leave it all out on the ice and finish this season strong for yourselves and us fans. Cant appriciate the top as much if you have not gotten kicked around and experienced the bottom like we have this season.

The Future IS bright for our team!!👍

Go Spits Go!!!

IMHO…Christophoro hopefully will come out of this without any permanent damage. Unless further info comes from the team there’s no point in guessing. Woodall will/should get a minimum of 2 games for that dangerous hit. Five is more appropriate. He committed himself long before his opponent looked down.

100% disagree. He did exactly as he is supposed to do. He committed, Soo player went off balance, looked down, bent down all with split second timing. There was no way the Woodall to pull up. Have to consider it in real time not with the perspective of slow motion.

committing long before is not an infraction. He had no way to know that the player would put his head down and lose balance or bend down at the last second.

Cristoforo was checked out by paramedics in the building following the second period. Torres said the blueliner was “very white, very pale” during the intermission.

Torres confirmed that the defenceman wasn’t taken to hospital and looked better as the lengthy intermission ended. While the exact diagnosis wasn’t known, Torres said it appeared to potentially be dehydration.

Hopefully Cristoforo is fine, with no lingering health issues.
I give him credit as he wants to be on the ice, which must be somewhat contagious.
Hopefully he adds size and strength this summer.

Hope Christoforo is alright. Definitely not something you ever want to see happen. If anyone has info they’re able to share, please send it my way.

Hate to say it, but I’m excited for this season to end. If we can avoid going without any (more) injuries/issues that’s a win at this point.

On a more positive note, the OHL draft is april 12th. Does anyone know when the lottery is determined? Obviously after the season, but is it a press conference or does it just kinda slip out

Not sure of the date but it will be a live presentation on CHL tv. Similar to what they do with the NHL.

Now that they have been eliminated the Spits are in a stretch of being 2-10 in their past 12, also having lost 7 straight. So with the 4-16-1 start and now 2-10 that's a stretch of 6-26-1. That's pretty much half a season of hockey and only 6 wins..... Just ugly.

This still very much feels like a season that's divided into three mini eras...

Smith, pre-deadline Torres, post-deadline Torres. For me, the pre-deadline Torres was probably the most accurate representation of how this season, in its entirety, could have gone. They had a coach who, by the players' own admittance, said it was a needed new voice, and they had a more experienced/productive roster. It would have been interesting to see how the team would have fared if they played with Smith like they played with Torres, pre-deadline.

Bowler needs to be a whole lot better.
One of the worst seasons on him..

The Spits need to issue a press release on Christoforo's condition. There are so many rumors, many of which have been on this board.

However, if I know our Spitfire management, the only press release will be about the next game's stupid promotion. I wish we could just see a hockey game without all the accompaning bullshit. Maybe they can come up with another ugly jersey.

They need to say what they're able to, just to calm the public. While he made the trip back to Windsor, I think most people want to make sure he's okay and going to make a full recovery. As far as the rumours - the only one I've seen on here was via the Soo Today, which was dehydration, but even that (from Torres) didn't seem certain. My info has something related to dehydration but, again, no confirmation.

As for the theme nights - I've actually liked most of them. Some felt more sponsor-ish but others were good. Even most of the jerseys I haven't minded; Flash, Spongebob, CHL contest, etc. Do they need them for every game? Nah. Once a month or something isn't bad, though. I would LOVE to see the 90s tombstones return but, from what I understand, it's not well-received by some levels.

With a last place team most of season they have to shove as much promotion as possible. Either that or music that' seems to get louder as game goes on..

PIPEDA. If the family chooses to keep that information private the organization has to abide by that. The organization went to the extent of mentioning dehydration. I don't see why the public needs to be informed more. As long as his family is good why should the public be concerned? One person started it with and that's how it starts.

I believe my info is good on cristo. If so he will be fine. Just something that will need monitoring. Honestly cant wait for the season to end. It means the next one has started. That said, i truly hope the Savages are doing whats right by this team. Lots to clean up!! The lottery will be interesting for sure. Id like to see a fully independent entity run it. Top 3 players arent that far apart but in a few eyes one is a bit better at this point.

Shorter shifts and not being out on ice so often could help things a lot.
Coaching...
