Watched a ton of William. But haven't watched Alex at all.

Who do you guys feel is the better player?

And can you give any comparisons for Alex?

I haven't watched Alexander in a while, but I don't see how you don't take William here.

Will is already shown he can play in the NHL, and looks to be a perennial 40-50 pt guy. I take the proven player 10/10 times.

Well obviously at this point William is better as he's already a top 6 NHL winger. Way too early to tell who will be better say 5 years down the road though.

Any chance of him being called up this year.

Living in the states I don't get the luxury of getting to see any ahl games.

I dont think there is a comparison to be made at this point. One has played 83 NA pro games with over half being in the NHL.

The other has played 22 with 0 in the NHL.

See me when both have a couple NHL seasons under their belts.

If I see him play I wouldn't need to come see you.

Because I haven't seen him play was the reason for my questions as far as a comparison of Alex and not William.

William is the safer choice as of now but wouldn't surprise me if Alex became the better player. He's just as skilled as William.

They probably have around the same potential, and William is more proven.

Have to go with him.

doesn't matter in whole point of the discussion, but Willy has played 139 pro games in NA. You missed all the AHL playoff games and his entire 14-15 AHL season

William is the more talented one. Better skater, puck control and vision. Only thing Alex has on him is shot, and it isn't a wide margin. I'll leave this quote from an NHL scout.

Before Tuesday night's game, the scouts had seen a lot of the little brother across seven months. "I think that he's like Willie in a lot of ways but I'd mark him down in each category—a really good skater but not quite as good as Willie, a good playmaker but not as good as Willie," one Ontario-based scout said.

"I thought the one area (Alexander) might have on his brother was energy—it seemed like he kept his intensity better. But then watching him late in the regular season, I thought he faded a little. In this league he's still a younger player and (the Steelheads) lean on him pretty heavily. He played a ton of hockey this year and it seemed like he was running out of gas."

You've heard it here first, Nylander will actually end up being worse than he already is in his rookie season :handclap:

Obviously William is better now, but I also think William has the higher potential too. Plus he's sculpted like a statue

Oh what I'd do to have any of them on the Flyers.

As a completely biased Leaf fan I gotta go with William ;)

He's playing wing but you can see in his game that he'll end up as the leafs 2nd line centre. He's a gifted passer and sees his linemates very well.

Because he'll be a centre I'd choose him over Alex, plus his hair is better

Saying a rookie looks like he has already proven he's a perennial 40-50pt player is a slight now.

Wow, high conclusions for someone that has scored 16 points 24 games into his rookie season.

Just to reinforce that anything can happen, yakupov had 15 pts his first 24 games, so yes, it was quite a compliment.

Little early for this conversation as William is the only one of the two who has NHL experience. I will say William for now but in 2-3 years who knows, Alex looks like a great prospect too...
