No.
There isn't any hockey before this corona pandemic is permanently over.
Better start to prepare having very boring late summer
and early autumn without international junior hockey.

If the season is completely pushed by some months (NHL in november, Europe Leagues in November...) it could be played in October. People will be hungry for every sport entertainment. You can imagine, that in Canada this could have very good TV ratings.

very unlikely to happen. but would be like to see us all get back to normal at some point and not lose another year to this madness. late August/early September would be cool to kick off a new season.

Hehe, when I asked the same question about WHC, people were sure, it would happen. Now people are sure, Hlinka won't happen, but I hope, it'll be as with WHC, just the other way round.

Why are tournaments four months away being cancelled?

It must be a financial decision. If it was health based, they could make this decision a month before. No one knows about what the health situation will be like in August.

As i know, they split the hosting between Canada and Czech/Slovak. What will happen in 2021? Will it stay in Canada? Or as planned in Europe?

If they going to start the NHL, why will they cancel Hlinka?

As far as I understand, Edmonton doesn't have a lot of coronavirus cases.

Hockey Canada is taking extra precaution that the other federations aren’t. I agree that it makes no sense, but it’s their decision.

My suspicion is money. Empty arena NHL games will still garner a lot of ratings which will create a lot of money in advertisements. I can't see anyone (but people like me) tuning in to an empty arena Hlinka broadcast.

Hockey Canada recognizes 46 players invited to Canada’s National Men’s Summer Under-18 Team selection camp

Interesting Hockey Canada decided to publish a list of players who would have been invited to camp if the tournament was not cancelled. No Savoie or Wright are very surprising omissions.

Hockey Canada doesn't usually give out a lot of invites to underage players to the Hlinka tournament and even fewer make the final roster. If you look at Hlinka final rosters they are almost exclusively the relative birth year.

Although, had this been a normal year I believe Wright would have gotten a camp invite, but cut from the final roster.

I wouldn't give Savoi an invite to camp. don't think he really deserved one.

Wright was what, a PPG player in the CHL? As far as I understand, great numbers for a 15-16 year old, but not that great for a U18 player.

PPG in his first year in the OHL. Those playing in u18 Ivan Hlinka have only completed one CHL season so anyone with PPG in their rookie CHL season is a pretty damn good achievement. If you look across the CHL leagues you won't find many if any 16 year old player with a PPG average in any given season and Wright was 15. McDavid was barely above PPG too in his first year.
