Will Filatov be at training camp?

I always wish Filatov could have worked out. I went to see him at the Sens development camp a few years ago when we just traded for him.

sigh.

Filatov is an average level KHL player. If he was a PPG player then he should still be in the conversation, but the chances of him making it back to the NHL as a regular are extremely slim-to-none.

Columbus really killed his development, man he was an incredible Jr player.

The skill is there, it's the willingness to compete that will hold him back. To answer the OP, no I don't believe he will be at training camp due to the KHL transfer agreement/schedule.

This guy had only 21 points in 47 games against substandard competition in the KHL, and people STILL fantasize about him??? It's over, gang - Nikita Filatov is just Russian for Gilbert Brule. Time to let go of that dream and move on...

Thank you for clearing that up, I couldn't agree more.

Next year is a big year for Filatov.

If he has a great year in the KHL I fully expect he'll come back to the Senators as a tryout. If he blows people away, I think MacLean will consider him. He'll be free from his KHL contract and (especially if Michalek is gone) there won't be a lot of established competition for top-6 wingers in Ottawa.

The difference between him and Radulov is that Radulov was doing well in the NHL and KHL. Filatov was good in the AHL and struggling in the NHL when he left. He's only average in the KHL by all accounts.

People haven't given up on Filitov yet?

Dear Lord.

And who is Filitov ? ;)

About Filatov. Why should we? He is property of Ottawa, and there is no news about him signing new KHL deal yet. Sorry, but i think talking about his future is more reasonable, than crying about Alfie or endless "there is no chance Ryan resign with us bla bla bla" when he is even not played single game in Sens jersey.
