What would be the asking price for Butcher to Montreal.

Only makes sense for NJ if they get an equivalent defender roughly the same age who is more of an all-situations guy. We have too many smaller defenders who aren't particularly fast skaters making our defense easy to expose.

I don't see what else the Devils would be interested in other than using Butcher as part of a package for a top pairing C or D.

Doesn't make sense for the Habs. Butcher isn't a big upgrade over Reilly and Johansson adds nothing to us. Rather keep Danault who we actually need.
