Will a new GM want to bring in his own coach?

Usually GMs does this for their team to play to the GM's philosophy.

Oh man, with such drastic changes looks like this season can either go really well or really poorly...

I was wondering that as well. Carlyle probably has a job for this season. It is a short season after all and there is no time for a new GM to interview coaches. Carlyle could be in trouble after this year though. If he coaches well he could keep his job. If the team struggles, he is likely out the door as well.

I see Nonis getting the GM duty, then because of this he gives Carlyle a fair shot, as he was here when Burke made the choice. and Nonis semed to be apart of alot of burkes moves.

I suspect the most likely outcome is that Nonis will be made the interim GM and Carlyle will remain as coach. How they do this year will determine if Nonis loses the "interim" title and/or if Randy Carlyle keeps his job.

Nonis has also worked with Carlyle before when they both worked for Burke in Anaheim.
