I feel like this WBS team is the most talented team they’ve had in a good bit, between the young group of prospects and the AHL veterans they have. It’s not a high bar to clear but it’s still nice to see regardless.
Broz and Koivunen seem to be having especially notable showings so far, it’s really good to see. Larsson is also doing a great job as well, I’d be fully supportive of them trading Nedjelkovic for a pick and running with Jarry-Blomqvist and Larsson-Murashov-Gauthier as the NHL and AHL goalie groups.
They better! Or, maybe wheeling is more his speed?Floodgates open now
It's funny to think the Pens powerplay was ranked 10th a couple of games ago and is now 15th.Really good looking PPs so far. The NHL Pens could learn something from these guys
It's good to see guys like Broz, Koivunen, McG, and Pickering playing well. Hope Pono can find a rhythm now that he's back and healthy. Don't think any of these guys are big impact players or dudes who will post significant point totals at the NHL level, but it'd be awesome to have supporting cast guys in place for when this team starts landing the foundational prospects with the top-3ish picks they'll have in short order. It's really important to be able to start going for it shortly after you draft guys like that because ELCs are huge for filling out the roster.
Also Rutger in his last five games: 1g, 1a, 2pts and +-0Rutger in 10 games, 1g, 2a, 3pts total and -5.
Amazing start, the future is bright!
I know, it was more or less just a joke for how bad things are right now, WBS is the only bright spot. He actually had one of those assists in last night's game vs Lehigh. Also Rutger in his last five games: 1g, 1a, 2pts and +-0
He is still adjusting to the pro game and making progress.
The effort by Pickering on that goal was a man possessed. I was watching the game on my ipad while watching the shit show Pens vs Wings game, it was tough to see them battle back to 2-1, then lose the lead, then take the lead and then tied again and lose it in OT, it was at least entertaining unlike the big club. They were 3-0 vs Lehigh and then in November went 0-1-1 against them in November, next one is December 21st.
Lost in OT though.
I'm so out of touch that I had no idea that this dude's father hadn't been with the Flyers since 2014.
I love getting excited seeing 5-0 just to see the box score and that all the career AHLers are scoring.
