Peter Lenes ? Yall have seent him on instagram with the silky mitts and dank dangles.

He is undoubtedly a #shortking but this hasnt stopped Nathan Gerbe or Theo fleury or even yung Rocco grimaldi from making the show .

So how did a guy so skilled who is viral not even get drafted??

The answer is right there in your screenshot. Being good at fancy stickhandling moves and trick shots doesn’t equate to being a good professional hockey player

I've never followed him but judging by his stats in the ECHL, it's because he was not very good.

Because dangling with no actual defenders on the ice while your friends throw some soccer balls and traffic cones at you doesn’t make you an NHL player. Vision? Anticipation? Reading plays? Cycle? Anything that matters? Take away Patrick Kane or Johnny Gaudreau’s IQ, vision, positioning, anticipation, etc. but let him keep just his hands and he’s probably not in the NHL either. And Lenes is smaller than both. Love watching his content, but I’ve always thought this answer was fairly self explanatory. There’s flash and there’s fundamentals - which one is more important in the NHL? The sizzle or the substance?

Swaggy p got distracted from hockey when he was hanging with Little Rocko, Slim Cricket , and Fat Tony

I don't even know to whom this is referring exactly...

But gimmicky stickhandling is one of the absolute least useful skills a player can have in an actual game of hockey.
