To answer the OP probably because teams didn't think that he was good enough?

20 was his draft year and scouts would have seen him at the WJHC, same thing last year and he played in Vancouver for the Giants.

By Slovak measures, I liked him in his draft year and most rankings had him pegged in the 4th or 5h round. He was arguably Slovakia's best defender in the WHJC despite being 17. But from what I've seen since, both with Dukla Trencin last season and in this year's WHJC, he hasn't made a whole lot of progress. He still has a good chance to make a living playing hockey somewhere, but the road to the NHL is looking long right now.
