just curious how barry wound up living in such a far away place, beck was born in vancouver but now lives in hong kong as the general manager of hong kong hockey. how did barry wind up there ?
Pretty much the highest standard of living in the World. Still is with all the CCP protests, which or much more orderly than what we see here.I think before all the strife with the CCP, Hong Kong was one of the most liveable cities in the world.
MH summed it up nicely. Here's an expanded version:

wow that was a really good read,
beck was one of my heroes growing up as a kid in astoria and playing roller hockey on the streets
I'm glad for him and his new career
Where in astoria are you from? I'm living off Astoria blvd near the park.

I kind of KNOW that, but then again, I don't. Was in HK for 1 day (Persian Gulf war in the Navy) that 1 day had duty on ship.Don’t blame him. Hong Kong f***ing rocks.
Took me a while to get used to Barry in #5. Always thought of him as #3 since that is what he wore while Vad was a Ranger.Beck was my favorite player growing up. To bad injuries slowed him down. I still wear #5 today in men’s league because of him.

Referring to him as an enforcer is idiotic. Very talented player.
