Why did Mario Tremblay retire so young?

He was before my time so I was surprised to see he retired after the Habs 86 cup win at the young age of 29. He had 39 points in 56 games so he could still play yet he choose not to. Has he ever cited a reason why?

Injuries looks like. Still the guy had a very good career. To bad he had to retire at 30.

It's pretty easy to forget with the advances in surgery in the last few decades how quickly some guys careers ended. Even still this does show up occasionally like Eric Daze or Cheechoo, but pre-90s it is a lot more prevalent in terms of what happened to so and so.
