When these really good players, who are playing with other really good players, get back to their respective teams and their not so good teammates, who knows.

RNH. The guy has been blasted for maybe not living up to the expectations a #1OA has. But he's been a real rock for the NA team. If he can translate his play at the WC to the NHL this upcoming season, look out.

Been really impressed with Austin Matthews, as well as MacKinnon, Laine, and Gaudreau, who has really blown me away. Not to sound like a homer, but Duchene is looking very good also.

Flames are going to have to pay up for Johny hockey.

Auston Matthews has made some INSANE plays. Like even his stick handling in warm up the other day and his move today on his knees versus Sweden. This kids the real deal. Mackinnon, Draisaitl, Duchene, RNH all having a great showing IMO.

I'd say Mackinnon and RNH have brought some luster back to them after a year or two that were below expectations. Draisaitl is looking really good without Hall, which was a serious question going forward. I'd say Matt Duchene and Schefiele have raised their stock in my eyes.

Gaudreau has looked amazing, and has probably raised his stock in some peoples eyes, but not mine as I already had a high level of respect for his game. Halak's played well, but any goalie performance in a short tourny I'll take with a grain of salt.

Matthews hasn't really raised his stock in my eyes, but has exceeded my expectations and confirmed my belief in him.

I've watched all the teams but have focused mostly on NA. I have a new appreciation for RNH, Draisaitl, Matthews, Gaudreau and Ekblad.

Been really impressed by Gaudreau and Matthews.
For Sweden I keep getting impressed by that unsung hero, Hjalmarsson.

Laine? Seriously?

For Sweden, OEL's stock has not exactly risen. Not sure why he never dominates in the national team, like he does in the NHL.

Despite not being a great stickhandler or passer, Hagelin is an unsung hero for me. Great work ethic, plays hard and simple, yet very effective.

Probably the only Swedish forward that could match the speed of U-23s forwards.

I think Ralph Krueger has done very well for himself even if Team Europe loses the final. Maybe the Oilers were a bit premature when they sacked him.

I dont want to be that guy.... but Auston Matthews

Went from making the team because of his name, to being one of the top players on the team

Yep, you're right. Gaudreau at the World Cup was just usual Johnny Hockey.

A lot of people are shouting "just give him what he wants" after seeing him play. That's how good he usually is, with less talent around him obviously.

Matthews is a weird answer but I'm going to go with him as well. I still do think all rookies go through growing pains when they enter their first season but he's going to be better than what the hockey world thinks.

Probably the only success of the tournament has been showcasing existing NHL talent to all markets. Example any West coast players that Eastern time zone viewers seldom see. And as highlighted already some smaller market team players like Ekblad. I knew he was good but barely see him, and didn't understand that guy is basically a 35 year old 15 year NHL vet posing as a youngster.
