Greenway is ready in another year and EK will be in the Wild's every day line up next season. Think Kaprizov is there too but not worth getting into as it isn't currently possible.

Outside of the Wild's future players above, non-Wild players that are there IMO include; White, Kylington and Chabot is very close. Strome as well.

Greenway would appear ready, but he's bullying guys in an age group that aren't physically mature like him. I could see him benefiting from AHL time where he can learn to use that size and strength against older competition.

There's nobody who could play in top6 like last year with Laine, Matthews, Marner et cetera.

I don't think I've seen one player who is clearly NHL ready at this tournament but I could see a few who will be with another off-season.

If I had to be on one player being able to play adequate top 9 or top 4 minutes tomorrow night it would probably be Kaprizov followed by McAvoy, Chabot, and Eriksen-Ek. Hischier might be an interesting gamble. Larsson hasn't looked great, but entering the tournament he would have cracked that list, same with Strome. Alex Nylander is putting up ridiculous numbers in this tournament, but he also isn't putting up numbers in the AHL that scream for an immediate call-up.

Last year at this time though the only guys who could have walked into the NHL at the close of the tournament and play well in the NHL immediately would have been Matthews, W. Nylander and obviously Pasternak. Nylander got injured but was practically ready and only had a 10 or so game stint in the AHL before being called up and having a strong tournament. Matthews plays the type of game and had the skill where he could have easily translated last year, and Pasternak was an NHLer at the tournament.

I think if Nylander finds a groove in the AHL in the 2nd half of the season he'll get a look in Buffalo, may be a brief couple games or the 9 they are allowed without losing an ELC year if he handles thing well. He sure doesn't look ready by his AHL performance so far.

Maybe Asplund gets a long look next pre-season.

That's the plan.

As it's been mentioned, Eriksson-Ek and Kaprizov. JEE will likely play full-time with the Wild next season. Kaprizov has another year on his KHL contract, so we'll see him with the Wild in 2017-18.

I'm perplexed at the lack of Keller. He could have made the team this year, but wanted to at least play one year of college hockey.

As an Ottawa fan who is really high on Chabot, I don't think he's NHL ready at all at this point. His style allows him to dominate his age peers but I feel he has a big adjustment period coming when it comes to the NHL.
