We need him to play lights out to go anywhere in the playoffs.

All these no names...man goaltending has gone down hill.

The opposite, today there are so many good goalies that the position has become over-saturated.

When you look at the best goalies back in the day, Roy, Hasek, Brodeur etc. Their level is nowadays the standard for your average starter.

There's not much a humans can do to get any better at the position, expect maybe gene therapy.
