They will be starting 6 rookies tonight vs Montreal.

Full credit to Columbus. Five wins in a row! Still two big "Ifs" to overcome – Montreal's game and their final game against NYI – but no matter what happens, it's a successful season, a kind of redemption, and something to build on.
Montreal's the second youngest roster in the league, a freshly rebuilt team that wasn't supposed to be in the playoffs, yet here they are – 1 point from clinching a spot. Two points in their last three games is a frustrating tease, but this was after a six-game winning streak. They weren't going to win every game. Nothing's settled yet, but no matter what happens, definitely a successful season for the Habs that bodes well for next season and beyond.
Both teams had huge ups and downs. In the end, whichever team makes it deserves it. Period.
idk.. think you'd rather face a Canes team with nothing to play for than a bunch of rookies with something to proveCongrats to Montreal on clinching the postseason
You think Canucks would not have beaten Montreal or Ottawa if they were in the East? East also has crap teams like Buffalo and their top teams like NJD is weak as hell. Western conference seems much more physical and tougher to beat except maybe Chicago and SJ.
Conveniently left out Nashville and Seattle I see. Anaheim struggle for a good chunk of this season as well. 4 of the 5 worst teams in the 1-32 standings this morning? Western teams. The west is top heavy, the east is more balanced. West has the better teams at the top I will admit, with Winnipeg and VegasYou think Canucks would not have beaten Montreal or Ottawa if they were in the East? Yeah, I think you and I discussed this! It's funny, I remember preseason debates with Habs fans about our teams being in similar positions and just needing to take that "next step". Didn't expect that'd mean we'd be in lockstep.![]()
Canucks have a 0.547P% vs East teams and a 0.561P% vs West teams, if they were in the East and played more games against the East they'd lose points and would have missed out. Ottawa is similar in that they beat the West more than the East (0.582 vs 0.594), lots of free points up for grabs playing West teams. You think Canucks would not have beaten Montreal or Ottawa if they were in the East? Habs are pretty much playing the Canes AHL team though. Should be an easy win. Demidov will eat those level of players up.We are DEAD , go win that cup for us Columbus
No such thing as easy wins with this teamHabs are pretty much playing the Canes AHL team though. Should be an easy win. Demidov will eat those level of players up.
Wow, where have you been then. It’s always been a thing.guys stop with that magic bsnever even heard of that before
It’s a shame game 82 for the Habs is against an AHL level roster. Easy win for them.
Unfortunately you can’tCan't face Hunter Shepard every night I guess.
You are comparing a very small sample size in the East versus a bigger sample size in the west? Like comparing apples and oranges and you also conveniently take out the travel factor which East has it far easier. I said if Canucks were in the East, not playing in Vancouver but maybe a New York team, they would easily be in playoffs. East has much easier travel schedule, and less physical teams.Canucks have a 0.547P% vs East teams and a 0.561P% vs West teams, if they were in the East and played more games against the East they'd lose points and would have missed out. East still has lots of bad teams in Philly, Buffalo, NYR, Detroit etc.Conveniently left out Nashville and Seattle I see. Anaheim struggle for a good chunk of this season as well. 4 of the 5 worst teams in the 1-32 standings this morning? Western teams. The west is top heavy, the east is more balanced. NJD Is a good team that was hampered severely by injuries. They lost their best player for the stretch part of the season and he won't be coming back. You think Canucks would not have beaten Montreal or Ottawa if they were in the East? Also, here are the combined records of Winnipeg, Colorado, Dallas, Vegas and LA against Washington, Toronto, Tampa, Florida and Carolina (the 5 best teams in the East)The Eastern conference is just too weak as it shows how much less points you need to be in playoffs versus western conference. The fact that a 10th place team in Canucks could easily have clinched playoffs in the East a week ago instead of being eliminated a week ago shows that Western Conference is a much superior conference. Vegas, Dallas, Winnipeg, Colorado are all legit contenders. The only Eastern conference contenders i see in the East are Florida and Washington. Canes will just lose again, while Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Tampa and New Jersey all have holes and weaknesses, with some of them just being new comers to playoffs.
We do, but Nashville, SJ and Chicago are far worse than anything we have. Everyone kicks them around.East still has lots of bad teams in Philly, Buffalo, NYR, Detroit etc.
I saw what you did there .It’s a shame game 82 for the Habs is against an AHL level roster. Easy win for them.
