Just out of curiosity, who would you have liked the team to draft in 2021?

The options are the guys ranked from 10th OA to 28th OA on Bob McKenzie`s list since he had Boucher at 29th OA, just to keep it realistic as to what the options really were. No guys from his Top-9 was still available

Chaz Lucius
Cole Sillinger
Jesper Wallstedt
Matthew Coronato
Fabian Lysell
Sebastian Cossa
Brennan Othmann
Fedor Svechkov
Isak Rosen
Zachary Bolduc
Xavier Bourgault
Carson Lambos
Corson Ceulemans
Francesco Pinelli
Nikita Chibrikov
Zachary L’Heureux
Daniil Chayka
Logan Stankoven
Aatu Raty

Sillinger should have been the obvious pick to make.

Even the Blue Jackets developing him terribly by rushing him to the league at 18 couldn't stop him from developing into a good NHLer.

But what do I know. I don't deal in reality like Trent Mann does.

I’m not gonna lie that list is so horribly underwhelming.

I am not a prospect expert though and have not seen enough of a bunch of these guys to really know how good they can be. But I guess Coronato at first glance looks like he’d be the best fit for us right now.

Cole Sillinger was my guy at the time. Not only was he my favourite realistic target but I thought he was a lock with the NHL/sens bloodlines.

I was down with Boucher in the second or if we moved up to late first.

I wanted Clarke or Guenther at the time but with them going btb before us i was hoping for Lysell or Wallstedt. Neither have really panned out yet

This was such a difficult year to get a read on prospects - I remember not really having a preference. Seemed like there was a consensus top-9 and the Sens were the first pick of the rest of the group, and they f***ed it up really badly.

Would have made a lot more sense to trade this pick rather than 2022.

I was on the Sillinger train, Coronato next

A lot of teams missed on Wyatt Johnston and more on Knies .. I'd go one of these 2 now
