Do not take into account expectations.

This is not the same as who you think our MVP was this season, but the player you select can be both your MVP and best player.

For example, one could argue that X player has been the best Blues player this year, but Y player is more valuable to the team. You're voting for X in this scenario.

1. Faulk (27.5%, 57.1% in tiebreaker)

Tarasenko should've been #1 IMO.

Our All Star. People seem to have the memory of a gold fish around here.

2 people voted Kyrou :laugh::laugh::laugh:

Not even top 5, yikes
The only forward to even consider over Kyrou is Tarasenko. None of the others are even close. Robert Thomas winning this is an actual joke. Apparently people only watched the last 20 games of the year because Kyrou was far and away our best player for the first 60 games. Like not even remotely close.

EDIT: Last 18 games to be exact after Kyrou was injured against Winnipeg. Remember how awful Schenn looked when he was injured? 59 points in the first 55 games. Thomas only had 47 at that point, including just a paltry 12 goals. He had an incredible April, Kyrou had an incredible October through half of March. Actually moronic that Thomas is winning this :laugh: Goldfish I swear.

I don't think you get to set the parameters on how people evaluate a player's contribution. I voted for Thomas because his entire body of work this season offensively was slightly better than Kyrou and his defensive contributions, penalty killing and contributions on faceoffs gives him a more substantial impact on the entirety of the game. But you do you.

I picked Thomas because I think he is the Blues best play driver to go along with his high scoring rate. I think recency bias is causing people to discount Kyrou too much but Thomas is obviously the better all around player. Tarasenko has had an amazing season, but I think that is in large part due to playing with Thomas.

Buch's case is interesting as isolated impacts will tell you he is the best play driver on the Blues. I think Buch is a great connector of plays and a very good all around player, but needs to play with a creator like Thomas or Kyrou. He's a guy that can elevate a line with those guys to elite status but can't drive an elite line on his own.
