Simple question. It seems to be between Holl and liljegren.
Holl has experience but lili is playing lights out right now.
For me Holl sits. Lili is a better puck mover and his defense seems to be lili by the game. Love his mean streak.
Holl is very useful and his reach gives him some advantage, but Imo lili is already slightly better.
Who do you think sits and why?

I said 'pardon'.

Maybe they can alternate Holl and Muzzin in the lineup? Muzzin’s game and health can’t be relied upon. Holl is very up and down.

I’m excited to see what kind of development can happen for Liljegren in big minutes beside Giordano. All due respect to Rielly in the lead role, but he’s not a Gio level defender whose been known to elevate young guys.

Why boosh? I'm loving his presence. It's been a while since I've seen opposing teams forwards hesitate when crossing our blueline
Eh, I like Bush. I just think he's probably the 8th best defenseman on the team and that Liljegren, Brodie, and Holl are all better choices on the right side.

I'm fine with benching Holl as long as Liljegren is in the lineup, but I'd personally do Bush.

I'm liking him for what I stated before. Holl does not do that.
Boosh and Muzzin do and that's what I think we need for playoff hockey.
I do agree that Holl is a better puck mover and has more creativity with the puck, but boosh is better in our zone.

The depth chart currently sits at this with Lilligren rising quickly.
Rielly
Brodie
Giordano
Muzzin
Lybushkin
Lilligren
Sandin
Holl

We’re trying to dress the best team, not just the best players. Lyubushkin might not be one of our top 6 defensemen, but he makes us better. He does things we need.

I'm not sure he makes us better than Holl or especially Liljegren do though. He might make us better than Muzzin though if he plays like he's played all year though.

Holl should sit and that’s no knock on him, he’s actually been playing well but you can’t take Lyubushkin‘s physicality presence out of the lineup and Liljegren is playing lights out with Giordano right now and given our salary cap situation, Gio will hopefully re-sign for cheap and re-signing Liljegren isn’t going to break the bank either so I’d be keeping that pair intact.

Rielly - Brodie
Giordano - Liljegren
Muzzin - Lyubushkin
Holl

Boosh clearly the weakest link out there, by a lot.

And if Muzzin is back on his game, then i think Sandin also sits rather than try to play him on the right side.

Though if Muzzin is still struggling its probably better to put Sandin in there instead.

Rielly - Brodie
Gio - Lilly
Muzz - Holl
Raz - Boosh

He fits really well with rielly though. I don’t think there’s necessarily a wrong answer here, but I do like that Bush is harder to play against than liljegren.

Holl has also been great the last month and a half.

I’d roll:
Rielly Lyubushkin
Giordano Brodie
Muzzin Holl
Sandin liljegren

But flip Liljegren if someone struggles. It’s crazy how much depth Dubas has stockpiled on the back end in comparison to the ‘no defence narrative’

The 20:00 minute a night guy will not be sitting, and Bush brings something Lilly doesn't have. The minutes show the coach's trust so unless Lilly's shoot up he will likely be the spare part.
