I just hope that Brandsegg-Nygard falls to us, and that’s only because I find long ass names on the back of jerseys funny. I’d get a shirsey of that.

My dream is for an eventual ridiculous hyphenated name like Fitzpatrick-O'Shaughnessy to be on a jersey.

Hey, Utah is still run by ex-Yotes management. There's always a good chance that they'll do a dumb overreach that'll let one guy drop further than he should.
Size is what they care about.

If Silayev is available, they're running to the podium.

But if he isn't, I don't think there are any big guys they could realistically reach for. Jesse Pulkinnen and Dean Letourneau aren't getting drafted 6th overall.

Next biggest guys they could go for might be Lindstrom or Yakemchuk, but those aren't reaches.

Love to dunk on the coyotes(and the blues especially) but Armstrong took over the reigns after Chayka in 2020 the year after STL won the cup

He went from being a scout to the director of amateur scouting in 2010 for STL and then AGM, responsible in drafting everyone from Pietrangelo/Schwartz/Tarasenko/Parayko/Dunn/Binner to Tage Thompson/Kyrou/Thomas etc.

Say what you will about the tenets of national socialism the blues identity or preference for player style/team makeup as well as their success in drafting outside of the 2nd round, but I don't know if it's warranted generalizing him with the incompetence of the ARI group before in chayka(and his 21 kookooroos & timmy hortons or whatever).

P.s. RIP capfriendly god what a resource I've taken for granted

Was listening to CHGO pod today and they said that Chris Peters compared Levshunov to Doughty
The other one I have heard is Dahlin.

Chris Peters is kind of on an island right now.

There isn't anyone else that likes Levshunov as much as he does.

ALOT of scouts like Levshunov.

Wheeler just put this out today.

Levshunov received the majority of votes as the best D in the class and Yakemchuk received the majority of votes as the sixth D in the group. But it wasn’t unanimous, with Parekh and Silayev also receiving votes at No. 1, and Dickinson also receiving votes at No. 6. Buium was the only D not to garner a vote in either of the two categories, a testament to the view that while he may not be seen as the top prospect in the group, scouts are high on him.

Ranking him as the top defender in the draft isn't the same as calling him Drew Doughty or a bonafide, elite #1 D.

Yes, a lot of scouts rate Levshunov as the top defensemen in this draft class. Personally, I have him 2nd behind Buium which may go to this D class being overrated. I hope I'm wrong since it's looking like Lev will be the Hawks pick at # 2.

I also hope that scout #12 in the article is wrong: "Levshunov might be the scariest of them to pick, he has a lot of defensive and puck play habits that are not going to work as a pro and reprogramming him would be a waste of his offensive confidence and talent".

You cherry picked literally the only negative comment about him lol.

Lol. It's a sentiment I found to be very accurate.

That’s fine, I was just pointing out that it’s the only negative comment.

You’re certainly entitled to your opinion.

I think Levshunov has a lot of pro traits that will translate. I do agree that some of the stuff he does in college hockey will need to change at the pro level.

Don't know if you can watch these but...

He has Levshunov going 2 to us. Compares him to Moritz Seider.

He has Dickinson going 3rd to the ducks, Parekh going 7th to the sens, Buium going 8th to seattle and Silayev going 9th to calgary.

Now the question was "Chris Peters is kind of on an island right now. There isn't anyone else that likes Levshunov as much as he does"

Craig Button does.
