People love to say about physically gifted suckers that they have all the tools but no toolbox. But what about the opposite thing? So who out of these kids of age 20 or younger has the worst set of tools?

I think Celebrini or Smith.

And that's no knock on them, they rely more on smarts than others.

Jesus, THATS tough. Im going with Carlson because I rarely see him play and when I have I haven’t noticed much.

He's the biggest and fastest one on the list (I'm referring to the objective measurements). Amazing agility for a big man, great handling.

Maybe Bedard?

He has that great shot and is smart and has good vision but isn't big, strong, fast or a particularly great skater.

I would say Celebrini. I don't think he has any particular attribute that really stands out against the comparables.

Watch him some more. He has shown flashes of looking electric. His skating might be the best from this list honestly.

I'd probably go with Smith here. Thought about Bedard but he at least has an elite shot.

Gotta go with Smith but this is like asking who was the "worst" of a group of 1st ballot HOFers.

He's just the worst of the group, but still has an insane toolkit. Size is a tool though. Fantilli and Carlsson have him covered.

I don't think his skillset is the same as Celebrini/Bedsrd/Michkov/Demidov either.

Just the worst of a great group. In the end it means nothing, none of us truly know how these guys will progress

His only asset to write home about is his shot imo. His playmaking, vision, etc are good but don't stand out as truly elite, or at least haven't yet.

Small, not an elite skater.

I guess this really depends on what people refer to as "tools" right?

Is IQ a tool, most likely, size isn't most likely, but some parameters would help.

What about defensive awareness and 200 foot game does that come under IQ?

I voted for Will West, desperado, tools don't got nada. He's smallish, not particularly strong, not a real standout skater. He's very dependent on smarts to get anything done really. Bedard is even smaller and just as mediocre a skater for his size, but i think he edges Will Smith out on having that all world sort of shot. The one thing that gives me some pause is that not only is Bedard very small, he also seems to have a pretty limited wingspan/reach. But the shooting ability as a "tool" still tips it for me.

Michkov probably rounds out the weakest tools podium out of this bunch. He seems a bit physically stronger to me though, despite also being smallish, and he's also got some wicked shooting ability, and arguably the best skater of the three in terms of at least some aspects.
