Assuming this will get locked shortly due to it not being based in facts, although our mod believes it too and when questioned ignored it, so I'll just ask you.

Why do you think Dubas wants Soo players more than anyone else? How do you explain McCann?

This all started by Dubas taking Sandin if I am not mistaken... and that is looking like a good pick, so no clue why this stuck as a thing.

He is not exactly adding guys who do not make sense if they were not former Greyhounds.

Should he actively ignore good players just because they played for his OHL team out of fear that fans call nepotism? Seems like a stupid idea to me.

Guys, think big. The next logical step is to get future Soo Greyhounds. We need 8 year old Timmy McTrigger who's going to set the OHL ablaze with a 20g rookie point season in 2030. I think he'd slot neatly in on Tavares's wing this year. Needs to bulk up a bit, but I think he's got it in him.

I didn't realize Jared McCann played for the Soo. Pretty funny that Dubas simultaneously gets abused for not keeping McCann AND for stockpiling Greyhounds

I think I would go with McCann from this list. Lots of the list is either getting up there in age or have a rough cap hit.

Or they are named Tony DeAngelo lol

Can someone please list for me all the Soo Greyhounds that Dubas has acquired, drafted, signed as Marlies, or brought on for tryouts?

Curious how many there are. I feel like once you bring the Marlies into it, it may be a fair amount.

I'm only seeing Keefe, Muzzin, Findlay, Sproul, Campbell, Murray, McCann, Bunting, Ritchie, Hollowell, Kopacka, and Sandin.

I think Barret Hayton makes sense for the leafs to go after. He could use a change of scenery, Arizona is having trouble signing him, our Center depth is weak.

Not saying getting soo players is the best idea, but one reason he gravitates towards soo players is because he is very familiar with their development system and knows their character.

He would not touch deangelo or jeff carter due to off ice stuff. Deangelo came after dubas was involved with the leafs and tda did not have a positive reputation in the ohl (source: doerrie podcast).

Nick ritchie was signed because dubas was pressured from upper management to sign him to address toughness.

Hayton would not be cheap to acquire. It’s at least a first-second round pick.

Jumbo Joe revenge tour we can put him on the first line PP again

Considering he just made one of the most idiotic decisions I've ever seen and "upper management" didn't stop it. I don't think they pressure him very much

The one that got away, Jared McCann. It was more important to keep Kerfoot and Holl though, two players who were directly detrimental to us in the playoffs this year. Funny how that works.

50 points in 76 games and a -26.. talk about a superstar.

Even tho the dude you’re crying about (Kerfoot) had 51 in 81, plays Center (over wing) and is objectively better.

Kerfoot who makes ill-advised drop passes to no one and takes costly penalties that out his team down 2 men in game 6 of an elimination game. Also I mentioned Holl, that lumbering oaf who’s big for nothing and has as many brain farts as Gardiner did in the playoffs. At least he PKs though; not like you could teach Liljegren I guess.
