6. Brodeur
7. Kucherov
8. Kane
9. Mackinnon

Just a reminder this is how they would be ranked all time only using 2000-2001 through the 23-24 season nothing before and only for the NHL.

Saint-Louis aged like fine wine, but not all of his career was equally spectacular. Not even when we leave out the 90s bit.

How is Kopitar ahead of MSL?

MSL 1 cup, 2 scoring titles he's being painfully over looked
yeah probably shouldve been ahead of Kopitar and maybe even Stamkos

All-Star teams:

MSL:1,2,2,2
Kopitar: none
Stamkos: 2,2

were Kopitar or Stamkos any more impressive?

Ask all GM's. In a redraft- who do you draft first
Not only does Price get picked above those 2, he gets bumped at least 5 spots on this list, and probably more.

not a chance hes ahead of Lundqvist

Price's career is more comparable to Rinne's

Kopitar is arguably the greatest LA King of all time, while Stamkos achieved more with the same team.
Pretty sure Gretzky and Dionne hold those distinctions.

what did Stamkos achieve with TB that MSL didnt? Each have a Cup (Stamkos wasnt on the 2020 bubble team). And even then, Cups are won by teams not individual players. Were not putting Brent Seabrook ahead of Hedman are we?

TB teams were quite different teams in their respective primes

MSL had Lecavalier, Richards, Dan Boyle, Khabibulin
Stamkos had Kucherov, Point, Hedman, Vasi

MSL has 2 Art Rosses
Stamkos none

AS teams:
MSL 1,2,2,2
Stamkos 2,2

Stamkos has the better PPG, but played in higher scoring

Im not saying its not close, but MSL has proven more at this moment given the above. If Stammer continues to produce well over the next 3-4 years then sure. Like THornton, his longevity would hold more value.

Stamkos is 3rd in goals and 7th in points in the 21st century, not having him in the top 20 would be unusual. Saint-Louis likewise 24th in goals and 20th in points.

All-Star teams tend to have tougher competition at center, Stamkos was substantially better than Saint-Louis in 2010 when Saint-Louis was 2nd All-Star RW and Stamkos 3rd All-Star C.

Lol

I don't think any gm would draft 2 Rinnes over 1 Price.

But that was funny
if Rinne was a Hab and Price a Predator, you wouldve said the reverse. True story!

Vezina finishes:
Rinne: 1,2,2,3,7 (Hart 4,7,8,12)
Price: 1,3,4,5,7 (Hart 1,14)

So here Rinne actually has the better average in Vezina finishes, and more Hart votes throughout his career.

playoffs:
Rinne 89GP .914 SV%
Price 92GP .919 SV%

both had great playoff runs (Rinne 2017, Price 2021)

The more you know.

St Louis was also older and out of his prime, also St Louis played in the dead puck era, didnt even get drafted and was also just a more valuable player. I just don't see a world where Stamkos was a better player than St. Louis, 2 art rosses for me just closes the debate, he should be ahead of stamkos and higher on this list.

You don't get points for losing years to mediocrity though. It's true that Saint-Louis led the league in points twice, but so did Stamkos lead the league in goals twice. For example the second Saint-Louis Ross year he had 17+43=60 points and Stamkos 29+28=57 points, both in 48 games. Even then I'd say Stamkos had as impressive of a season, if not more.

It's guys like:

Jagr
Brodeur
Crosby
Lidström
P.Kane
Ovechkin
Malkin
Price
Selänne

Ovechkin at first place if beats Gretzky's goal record.
