Akin to Jordan’s run with the Bulls in the 90s, Adam Sandler and Jim Carrey had Jordan-esque runs themselves. Who’s run was better?

Sandler’s 4 year run:
Billy Madison
Happy Gilmore
The Wedding Singer
The Waterboy
Big Daddy

Carrey’s 4 year run:
Ace Ventura: Pet Detective
The Mask
Dumb and Dumber
Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls
The Cable Guy
Liar Liar
The Truman Show

If we are talking quality and not box office success its Carrey. Sandlers only good movies were made in the 21 Century.

Dumb and Dumber is hands down the best in either actor's 90s filmography (maybe total filmography in general). I'm going with Carrey.

Fun question, I'd like to see how Mike Meyers stacks up against these two as well with his Austin Powers output along with Wayne's World

I feel like Carrey had the better range in the 90s with a mix of dark comedies (Cable Guy, The Mask) and dramedies (Liar Liar, Truman Show). But from a pure comedic standpoint, Sandler's movies were closer to my taste and IMO more re-watchable. Maybe it's the over the top voices and expressions, but movies like Ace Ventura or The Mask have become more annoying than funny to me now.

From the list, I'd personally rank them:

1. Dumb and Dumber
2. Happy Gilmore
3. The Wedding Singer
4. The Truman Show
5. The Waterboy
6. Billy Madison
7. The Cable Guy
8. Ace Ventura 1
9. Liar Liar
10. Big Daddy
11. Ace Ventura 2
12. The Mask
