Kakko seems more NHL ready. I don't think he'll win the Calder or anything, but he'll probably outscore Hughes at least.

Hughes

however I don't know if it's fair against Kakko that Hughes scores majority of his points in AHL

Hughes might be the better player, but hes got way worse surrounding players

Huh? Are you even familiar with either lineup? Both are pretty comparable on paper...and if anything the Devils are the ones deeper at F. Rangers at D.

Not sure how you can say “way worse,” other than you don’t really know what you’re talking about.

Kakko will get more points both next season and the season after.

I'm not arguing who will be better long-term, but you cannot convince me that Kakko isn't more NHL ready currently and will likely play with pretty good talent next to him, so that's my choice.

The Devils players might be better, but the gap is definitely not as big as you're making it out to be. Frankly, I prefer the Rangers players
Well to be fair that lineup you quoted had three players with 1st line numbers vs the Rangers' two

Palmieri is something like 8-10th in goals the last three years IIRC
