Who do you want to commentate the playoffs?

I voted for Bob Cole bc I grew up listening to Bob Cole and Harry Neale call Leafs playoff games.

A part of me would enjoy hearing how hard Hughson will/would try to **** talk the Leafs. Troll the troll, so to speak.

Voted for Bob Cole. Please not Joe Bowen. I'll have a freak out. Don't feel like watching the playoffs on mute. Kessel to Bozak he scores! No wait that was Kadri to Lupul...

Bob Cole, grew up listening to him on every HNIC broadcast. It's a real shame what has happened to him since '06 though, he's been rapidly declining since then.

Still, his voice beats anybody else's; even last Saturday when the Leafs clinched and he said "The playoffs are coming Toronto..the playoffs are coming", I got chills down my spine. It felt so nostalgic, almost as if it was 2004 and we were playing the Sens in the playoffs.

And Beyak is a Jets homer now so it's not the same, I loved listening to him on the radio a couple of years ago though.

It's too bad CBC got rid of Chris Cuthbert. Idiots didn't realize how badly they screwed up, Cuthbert is probably the best play-by-play guy in the biz right now, very unbiased, has a great voice and calls the game fairly. Great acquisition for TSN/CTV though, they got a great performance out of him for the 2010 Olympics.

Harry Neale isn't doing much now Buff is done.

Cole and Neale for the last time calling Leafs v Habs.

"How about that......O my....O my"

lol if people wanna talk **** about Bowen

ill make fun of Cole
that guy cant even get names right
am just watching Saturday going uhhh... what?

please dont talk **** about Bowen if you're going to say Cole's the best
the good thing about Bowen is that he is actually a LEAFS FAN

and gets excited when LEAFS SCORE
see the difference?
him and Milsey have a laugh at it, with the Leafs TV gang/sportsnet
they enjoy themselves

My preference: Cole > Beyak > Bowen > Hughson

Bowen laughs hysterically half the time and gets more goal calls wrong than Bob Cole.

Considering that I'm usually pretty able to see what's going on on the ice myself, I'd play a fair bit of weight on which commentator is better able to convey the excitement in the arena to me.

I don't know Beyak so well, but to me both Bowen and Cole while making more mistakes in terms of names and such, are better at doing this than Jim Hughson. Especially for playoffs, when I want to get an idea of the atmosphere, those get my vote.

Bowen can be a little over the top however, both in loudness and excitement. I remember listening to the radio feed when the Leafs were previously in the playoffs, and the way he'd commentate I'd get a near heart attack for what turned out to be a harmless dump in.

Therefore I'll go with Bob Cole, mistakes and all. I don't really care about them, I can spot that myself. He's on the decline, but the past years the games I saw with him commentating (both Leafs and playoffs) have been the best experience for me.

^If you have watched Jets games on TSN in past year or two, that is Beyak calling the game (who used to call Leafs games on radio).

Slightly OT: Hughson made some folks in Vancouver upset on Saturday when he said, "Here comes Kassian for Toronto..."

Cole, I know who the players are so I don't need him to be accurate.

I love the excitement he brings to the games.

Bob Cole. That voice just goes with playoff hockey in my book.

bob cole, hearing his voice say scores after the leafs score is honestly the greatest thing ever.

if not i'd rather have bowen then hughson obvs.

Bob Cole for me. Keep that useless piece of **** Hughson away from the microphone during our games. Same goes for Simpson and Healy.
