Might give the edge to PLD, but think it's going to be closer than some think..............Dach is also 3 years younger, but if we do get PLD than this speeds up the re-set for sure.

Our goaltending and D is still suspect.
Voted PLD by a slim margin.

One is already an effective NHL player and the other is not, so it's likelier than not that Dubois continues being an effective hockey player while Dach's future is less certain

What a strange poll.

One is already an established, solid NHL contributor. The other has had an injury filled development. None of us can possibly know how Dach is going to react to the change. If you wanted to ask this 10 games into the season, maybe it would make more sense. 90% of the posters here have probably see Dach play less than 20 times.

Dubois is young, no reason to vote for Dach until we see him play this season.

Dach has a higher ceiling. Dubois is more established.

If Dach can get his wrist healthy again, I have to go with Dach being better in 3 years.

It’s a lot riskier then saying Dubois but if they both reach their potential it has to be Dach. So I will guess that Dach wrist heals up.

Dubois is 3 years older. In his 3 years post draft, he has shown a lot more potential than Dach has. I liked the Dach pick in 2019 but he has not shown anything really screaming all star in his first three years. Objectively he has not been better than KK...

Potential? Dubois should already have reached his potential.

Injury…
Een when he has played he has not been a difference maker. Again I liked the pick in 2019 because he seemed to be a good playmaker with good hockey IQ and honestly had a decent two way game already. But he could never really score a lot and his speed/ execution seem insuffient for a top 6 in the NHL. I definitely hope MTL can develop him, I just don't see the top potential some think he does have.

Could he still develop into a 2C ? Sure. Like KK. However I don't see how he can compare to Dubois who is at least a 2C in terms of offensive production AND defensive capabilities.

Potential? Dubois should already have reached his potential.

Yes and it is unlikely Dach reaches what Dubois is right now.

For me its more of hope than a vote.....really want Dach to become the 3rd overall pick he was projected to be.

I don’t think Dach has ever had a higher ceiling than Dubois.

If you can swap Dach for Dubois, you take it and run.

PLD seems settled in as the 60 point player he is. His effort and game is just so inconsistent and I don’t see it changing but he’s obviously still a great player.

Dach to me has higher upside. He’s just got to put it all together. Lower floor, higher ceiling. I really think it was the wrist injury that set him back and assuming he’s 100% I’d gamble on him reaching his ceiling still.

Depends what team they end up on, who they play with and what kind of role they have with their respective clubs.

We will see, I’m a Habs fan who is not one bit crazy about PLD’s game, but Dach has some ground to make up to surpass PLD. Luckily he has time to do it and an organization who I think puts great value on development now, so he will be given ample opportunity to get there imo. Will he, we shall see.

At costs, and current team structure I prefer Dach.
