Who cares what Chia did last deadline? - It is Don now : All Bruins Proposals/Rumors

I saw an interesting proposal from one of the writers over at Hockeywriters.com where he proposed we trade Eriksson for Kevin Hayes and the Bruins going for Shane Doan and Cody Franson. It's just one guys opinion; really nothing more than a hfboards type of proposal. But I would love to see K-Hayes brought in, even if he is struggling this year.

Beleskey -- Krejci -- Pasta

Marchand -- Bergeron -- Doan

KHayes -- Spooner -- JHayes

Rinaldo -- Ferraro -- Randall

Chara -- Trotman

Seids -- Franson

Krug -- KMiller/CMiller

It's not bad.

The doan and Franson trades for horrific

Doan is still bringing a physical style and producing: 33 points, 80+ hits. He'd be the bridge until one of the younger winger prospects steps up and breaks into the NHL.

Not my point, besides Doan not wanting out of Arizona. The trades he proposed were down right horrible.

"To Boston Bruins = Cody Franson

To Buffalo Sabres = Colin Miller, Matt Irwin, Seth Griffith and a 2016 fifth-round pick"

"To Boston Bruins = Shane Doan and Nicklas Grossman

To Arizona Coyotes = Alexander Khokhlachev, Joe Morrow and a conditional 2016 first-round pick (lower pick between Boston and San Jose)"

Not only awful trades, but Doan is overpaid for what he'd bring, & Franson is absolutely junk & overpaid.

If Eriksson is moved I'd prefer pick/ prospect over K. Hayes

If the Western scout who told LeBrun no more first round picks for rentals I keep Loui.

I don't care about Buttons top 50 list the Bruins prospect pool is very strong

For all you new Bruins fans that disagree a reminder Bergeron was not on any or Marchand Krejci Lucic Chara on and on

That list is full of sizzle the Bruins with later picks grabbing Heinen Lauzon JFK Gabrielle has a lot of streak

I dunno, Dan: if the goal is to try and get into the top 5 then they might need another first to give themselves options. Especially if they are going to find that magical top pair guy... They need those neutral assets so to speak.

Yes but I'm not taking 50 cents on the dollar

Unless it's Vancouver I can't see GM's thibking they can resign him

My understanding is they are open very open to moving him but won't get short changed and would be comfortable keeping him based on their young players and 6 picks spread out over first 2 rounds in next to drafts

Future assets for Loui is for bundling - they could use a defenseman in the class of the three high first rounders last June but this guy otherwise is good with how this is going

I'll believe it when I see it. Just like the cap is keeping salaries reasonable. GMs can't help themselves

Doan can`t be going anywhere at this stage IMO, he`s had multiple chances to bolt the desert and has stayed

That's fair, Dan; I can appreciate the perspective. Maybe they can finanglen sign and trade with Canucks...

Maybe the Preds could be desperate; I think Poille needs to get deep and he's a wildcard team right now

Donny could have signed Franson and wisely passed. Doan drives with the blinker on now. And the Hayes experiment has been too frustrating to add another underachieving Hayes.

Loui will be a very sought after player and will fetch a 1st + something.

Poile has twice traded first round picks at draft deadline

Nashville St Louis Anaheim and Vancouver are 4 teams that could be in mix

I love Manson on Ducks - guy would be a great Bruins but not sure they would part with him

Love Vesey on Preds

I'd also swap him for Kevin Hayes- can never have enough Hayeses

I'd rather trade Eriksson for what the writer proposed Winnipeg would return from the Capitals if they trade Ladd: Tom Wilson, Riley Barber and Madison Bowey.

I'm also not a fan of those Doan and Franson proposals.

They can get Vesey for free this summer.

Is there zero chance of resigning him before the deadline?

I think we have more than enough Hayes' right now. At least Jimmy is relatively cheap.

They can get Vesey for free this summer.

Vesey for free is a real longshot. You have a MUCH better chance of signing him if you trade for his rights. Although if I got Vesey back, I would want it to be some sort of a conditional situation, where a lesser pick comes if he doesn't sign

100 % agree, no first , i keep loui

Will be interesting to see what player moves Wild will do now.

But yeah Franson plays 12mins in Buffalo so I really don't see how he would make a difference with us right now.

I'll throw one out there with the Bruins going shopping for rentals and keeping Eriksson.

To Boston:

Roman Polak
Nick Spaling
Michael Grabner

All UFAs

To Toronto:

2017 2nd rd pick
Alexander Khokhlachev
Anthony Camara
Kevan Miller

Boston gives up really a 2nd rounder. Does anyone see Koko re-signing in Boston as a RFA? I certainly don't. Camara is likely at the end of the line with the Bruins organization as well. K.Miller would go to free up a roster spot on D.

Boston gets a quality 4th line C who can also play wing, can kill penalties and is a decent face-off guy in Spaling. Polak is an upgrade on D over K.Miller and given the complete lack of RD rental options league wide, one of the better options (although that's not saying much). Grabner can play either wing, and is another quality penalty killer. Allows for more line options on the 4th line (and hopefully more Randell). by adding a PKer who can play the left side, and not require Ferraro to be in the line-up as much.

Waive Talbot, nothing against Max but they would need a roster spot. I would have no fear of him being claimed. He'd still be available as a playoff black ace.

Demote Kemppainen, no explanation required.

Demote C.Miller, he needs to play more and once again he can go down without waivers so he's still available in case of injuries.

Marchand - Bergeron - Connolly
Belesky - Krejci - Pastrnak
Eriksson - Spooner - Hayes
Grabner - Spaling - Randell

Extras: Rinaldo, Ferraro

Chara - Polak
Krug - McQuaid
Seidenberg - Morrow/Trotman

Rask
Gustavsson

Certainly doesn't fix the D but given the lack of options right now, might be as good as it gets for the time being. I have no delusions about Boston bringing in a big-time D man at this time.
