Who Are the Strongest Players in the NHL

I remember matthews and Tkachuk saying McAvoy is an absolute unit in the gym. Like he lifts sooo much than others

He seems to do well in battles

Brady Tkachuk is top tier in the NHL when it comes to powerhouses.

He might look like he's all neck lol, but he is one of the rare examples of a big dude who's actually even stronger than his size suggests. How else could he come into the NHL as a rookie and play the way he always has? And although his 6'4 225lbs frame is not ripped or overly muscular, but yet hes still freakishly strong and solid, and seems to catch people by surprise.

Hes only 24, give him another 3 or 4 years to fully develop that man strength and he will be alone on an island by himself imo.

Adam Lowry will win a lot of one on one puck battles, but Jamie Benn was physically stronger in a fight. In terms of being a beast to play against, Mark Scheifele is not easy to stop with the puck.

I dunno, Lowry is a low key really tough guy in a fight.

Greenway is very strong when motivated. I've seen him knock over two players with one check.
Charlie Coyle is also very strong. Again, motivatiuon seems to be a problem, but when he gets going his puck keep aways can be quite something. Is the sort of guy you don't want to wake up.

In recent years, Chara and Buff were the strongest, with a nod to Shea Weber. In the old days, Howe and Kurtenbach were very strong and tough. People tended to just leave them alone.

I don't doubt that Tkachuk is strong, Garland is also around 160 lbs.... That video really isn't good evidence.

Big buff was the strongest I've ever seen. He said he wasn't even going 100% because he feared if he did, he'd kill guys.

In today's NHL, idk. Olivier & Xhekaj come to mind.

Buff could make it look like an arcade game on the ice where everything that touches him goes flying.

I still remember in the 2010 finals where he smoked pronger, who looked like a twig in his path.
