Who are some of the most underrated prospects in the NHL?

I feel like those that are in the know of prospects league wide know how good Brock Faber is but he is still relatively unknown beyond that.

Tucker Robertson is a pretty safe projection into the NHL and got drafted by Seattle so the vocal fanbase isn‘t there… yet.

Tristan Luneau is having an utterly fantastic season but hasn’t gotten much fanfare.

Tyson Hinds got some love after the WJC but still feel he is underrated as a whole.

Jean Luc Foudy may not be a world beater but has a pretty projectable skillset and is NEVER talked about.

Matej Blumel is a very interesting piece for a Dallas next year. Found money.

Elliot Desnoyres is having a stellar freshman AHL year yet not a peep from anyone.

Max Guenette has grown something like 3” since being drafted and has started looking like a legit option moving forward for Ottawa

If you have followed me for a while, you know how much I believe in Buchelnikov’s game.

Matthew Maggio is found money for the Islanders.

These are a few of my favourites

What do you expect from Tucker Robertson?

I'd say there's quite a few in the NCAA: Massimo Rizzo, Jackson Blake and Cruz Lucius for instance are some immediate names that come to mind (all of which were coincidentally drafted by Carolina), but I'm sure most teams have at least one underrated prospect playing in the NCAA.

In the OHL I'd say Matthew Poitras and Ty Voit ... probably fairly recognizable names to Leafs/Bruins fans, but they aren't discussed as much as I'd expect in this section.

SHL I'll go with Adam Engström and maybe to a lesser degree Joel Nyström.

KHL... Gritsyuk? Admittedly not as into the KHL... maybe Daniil Pylenkov or Nikolai Kovalenko?

Jack Peart--While NJ and Anaheim get most of the attention for their D prospects, Minnesota has two excellent prospects in Faber and Peart. The latter doesn't have one elite trait, but is solid all over the ice and found success in both NCAA and world juniors the past two seasons.

I would say Lukas Cormier who I think might have a Torey Krug-like career. Like Rodney Dangerfield, gets no respect.
By far one of the least talked about prospects who’s future is bright. His puck retrieval skills are as good as anyone’s, and he has tremendous vision. He just needs a little more core strength and he’ll be in the NHL. He’s had a great first year as a pro.

I think Faber got some good publicity because of the Fiala trade.

You sure about that?
