If the Leafs managed to completely choke away this 3-1 series lead against an awful Montreal Canadiens team, would you consider it an even worse chokejob than our infamous 2013 collapse against the Bruins?

In my view it would be. Even with Tavares out the talent gap between these clubs is huge, where as in 2013 as pathetic as it was, we had an overachieving below average Hockey team.

So I'm not saying it will happen(nor am I saying it won't for that matter), but IF it does, what do you think?

Yes ofcourse. It would definitely be a terrible choke job. I mean I definitely respect the Habs organization and teams it puts forth, but who are we kidding, this Habs team is very weak and their goalie is literally keeping them in it. They got a few young pieces who will be be decent but c'mon, we got Matthews, Marner, Nylander, etc.

If Leafs lose this series to this Habs team, I will be extremely disappointed. Extremely.

But I'll still be back next season, cheering again.

Anything can happen in the playoffs, never doubt the competitiveness of veterans who play with something to prove.

3-1, just because it’s almost 50 years of living in Toronto but having SO MANY hab fan acquaintances that have been rubbing everything in my face for years. No matter what you say or prove, they always come back with “who has more Cups????” Etc. So if we were to somehow lose this after being up 3-1, I would never ever hear the end of it. And all of the Toronto area hab fans make me sick.

Easily 3-1 .... all of my already-annoying enough Hab-fan buddies would never let me live it down, not after all the shit I’ve been talkin lately

So, are we just going to ignore the fact that if we lost game 7, it would be in a 5-4 OT loss, MTL coming back from a 4-1 deficit in the 3rd, Caufield w/ the OT winner?

For me, nothing compares to that 4-1 meltdown at the hands of the Bruins....nothing! The game was won but they still managed to snatch defeat out of the hands of victory.

Blowing this series up 3-1 is bad. Shows how mentally weak the team really is.

It also hasn't happened yet. Let's save the rhetoric for another day... if it ever comes.

Right now... we've got 2 chances to beat a team that we went 7-2-1 against. I'd rather be us than them.

I don’t think so. Montreal has all the momentum now. If the Habs blow the Leafs out on Saturday night at home in front of their fans this series is over. The Leafs almost look defeated after the game 5 loss. Almost like they know what is coming.

"It was 3-1" for sure. Let's be honest, the Leafs in 2013 had no business taking the Bruins to game 7, and in hindsight I wish they hadn't even bothered and just lost in Game like 5 or 6, at least the "4-1" meme wouldn't exist. I mean Jesus do we remember what our defence was at the time? None of those guys would be in this teams top four.

But losing this series would be beyond humiliating and I think would be the final nail in the coffin as far as my following of the team is concerned. We're flat out the better team and should have won this series a game or two ago, but haven't because two of our $11 million "superstars" can't do what their contemporaries like MacKinnon and Point do in the playoffs time and time again. Blowing a 3-1 series lead against a hated rival because this team can't play in the playoffs would end any and all hope I have for this franchise that anything good can happen to it.

It would be worse because the collapse in 2013 wasn't the Leafs fault, the refs put their whistles away in the 3rd period and Boston took advantage. If they collapse this year they at least so far can only blame themselves.

Losing this series by far.

The 2013 Leafs were led by Kessel, Phaneuf and Reimer. They shouldn't have even gone to OT of game seven against the second best team in the league.

If we lose this series it's time to make drastic changes to our core. Might even be time if we win this series and lose to Winnipeg.
