I know it's a small sample size but which prospect in your opinion makes the team, if any.

I tried to include the names of the "most likely" but feel free to let me know if missed any crucial ones.

Can pick more than 1 prospect.

As of right now, I think only Guhle and Harris. We still have 5 pre-season games left, so still lots of time for things to change should guys step up over the next few games.

Not enough room for much more than Guhle and Harris.
Barron and Xhekaj will start the year in Laval, Schueneman will have the 7th spot in Montreal.
Beck back to junior, Heineman back to SHL, Slaf to Laval. Mesar I'm not so sure but good chance he joins Slaf in Laval as well.

Harris is a lock.

One of Guhle/Barron will get a spot, probably Barron to be honest since he's a RD. Maybe Xhekaj since he's more likely to be used in a 7D role, no way we're letting Guhle sit in the press box.

Slaf will get his games regardless of performance.

Heineman, Harris, Xhekaj, Guhle.

One of Mesar or Beck if Dvorak is traded.

Nobody else is ready.

Xhekaj makes it because of Eddy's injury.

Guhle and Harris for me, everyone else in the AHL to start the year.

Edit: And Europe/juniors of course depending on the player

So far, there's still a lot of preseason games

Offense:
if Drouin or any nhl regular doesn't start the year it's between Slaf or Heineman. If every regular is there, no one will be in the nhl.

Defense:
Guhle and Harris are a sure bet, not even a doubt. Next in line is Xhakej and Barron. They will use Schue as the 7th defenseman tho to make sur that every young dude plays a lot of hockey.

Goalie:
Will be Allen and Monty. Primeau should get 3out of4 starts with Laval. He should play as much as possible, making sure he's ready to come over if there is an injury to Allen.

And then there's a high chance that they claim a decent player of the waivers once team announce their full roster.

Yeah I forgot Drouin, he'll probably be sick or some shit on opening night so that might give a spot to Heineman..

Drouin, Anderson, Monahan, Byron.

Maybe someone else gets a small injury and goes day-to-day.

I'm not sure when those players above will be back (like Suzuki)? Byron is probably the one who's the most far away.

Trades could happen too, I guess? Or maybe we waive someone.

Guhle, Harris. But based on merit I would probably add Heineman, he's been really good and consistent. He's not far from the NHL at all.

I think it will be hard to keep Guhle and Harris out of the lineup maybe Barron since he is a RD… if it was me at least two of them will be in the AHL to get more ice time and dominate.

Heineman

Barron
Harris and Guhle while Ed is out. One sent down when he’s back.

Slaf isn’t ready.

It's a bit too soon to say since the real rosters haven't really started playing yet. I won't answer the poll yet, but I think Guhle is definitely the guy who's shown the most. Xhekaj and Harris would be two other candidates. Barron will likely make it, but I think he should be in the AHL, though it's still early in camp.

Slaf and Heineman could still make a push. While Beck has really played well, I still think the best place for him is the OHL.
