Which players are our CORE???

Pick as many players as you like. Who are our long term CORE pieces that you want to retain long term or do not want to trade away? I've included a few prospects in there as well as an "other" selection.

If you think any other player is a CORE piece, please explain why in the comments.

Demidov (our only “sure shot” prospect imo)

Too early to tell for guys like Hage, Reinbacher, Dobes and Fowler but hopefully they become core players (potential 2C, top 4 RD and 1G).

For Dach and Laine, next season will probably be their last shot to prove themselves. I have my doubts they will be on this team long term.

Slaf seems to be borderline at this point and I'm personally not going to count prospects as core until they prove themselves in the NHL to some degree.

Some players I would consider part of the core going forward but I wouldn't consider them all "untouchables".

For our core, I'd include Suzuki, Caufield, Slaf, Demidov, Guhle, Reinbacher and Hutson.

For untouchables I'd only have Suzuki, Caufield, Demi and Hutson.

I had initially left off Reinbacher because we hadn't seen him but realized I'd voted for Demidov. I think both will be core players. Suzuki, CC, Slaf, Demidov, Hutson, Ghule, Reinbacher.

I might add Hage and Fowler down the line but need to see more of them.

I think Dach is with us long haul but isn't necessarily what I'd call 'core.'

That's where I am.

Pretty sure Demi will be part of the Core but he needs to play here. Then we need a top pair D to round out the top 3D , we also need a 2C and a starting goalie.

I have said for a while that I like Laine, but I don't see him here past his current contract. I stand by it. Demidov will take Caufield's position on PP1, and Caufield will go back to where Laine is now.
