Either Regeher (familiarity with Sutter) or Smid. Honestly though, the only guy I wouldn't mind seeing go is Penner and I don't think he'd fetch much of anything. I'm afraid that anything else we'd add would hurt more than help based on what we'd have to give up.

Can a "None" option be added? I honestly don't believe he will add anyone. I think he's likely happy with the roster and banks on Greene being available for the playoffs.

Don't think Lombardi acquires a forward, but maybe a defenseman as insurance.

Either J-Bo's contract or other teams' interest scares Lombardi away. Have to go with Regehr, who I think would be a great pick-up for a second-round pick and a later pick next year (similar to what Leopold got).

edit: It's also been reported that Smid is very close to signing an extension, so he's basically off the market.

edit #2: I know this is not an option, but I think Penner also gets traded for a third-round pick or something...similar situation to Gagne. Just not fitting in right now. Plus Lombardi expressed he wants to roll with 8D, so if they acquire Regehr they would have to send Toffoli down, and quite honestly, he's outplayed Penner.

Other x2. Something will come up out of nowhere. I think we will acquire both a forward and a defenseman with Penner possibly being shipped out. Unfortunately the guy seems to really bother our coach with how he plays.

If we acquired according to my wants, one would be Jagr and one would be Fayne.

Lombardi isn't really the type of GM to make a trade for a small or average upgrade at deadlines. I don'tthink hhe'd do anything.

Would either of those guys be available? I agree if a deal is made it will likely be for names we aren't expecting or heard before. But I don't know why NJ would get rid of Fayne when are sitting in a playoff spot right now. I see Dallas as very much still in the mix and can't see them going into sell mode this year either as much as I'd think Jagr would be a good fit here.

Smid and Clowe, especially if Clowe goes to philly. That might make it easier to trade for him.

Modin and Halpern in 2010. Modin actually ended up being pretty solid in the playoffs against the Canucks.

Not a deadline has gone by since Lombardi has been GM where he did nothing at the deadline, buying or selling. Big, small, one player, two players, red fish, blue fish, who knows. With the defending champs in front of him, he'll do something.

Is it only me or does King kind of remind me of the afromentioned Modin (when he was a King)?
I really liked him on the Kings, was a very solid 3rd liner for the short time he was here.
