They’re 2 of the most frequent names out there for OS this season. Just curious what the hardcore hockey fans think of these 2 values for OS.

2 questions, would either of those teams be in enough salary cap hell that and OS would work. Edmonton was pretty ripe for picking up against the cap, damned either way. And for a team offering which I assume is an overpayment, wouldn't they want a short term deal, one , two or three years, they can maintain ownership but can walk away at end of the deal if it flops. Would somewhere in the 4 to 5 range be enough ...or ridiculous? Interesting question.

For NY, I doubt it with the cap going up and the talk of them trying to run Kreider out of town. Cuylle is one of the very last players they need to part ways with. Even at the high end of that compensation group, he's one of the few players they have who still has p upside and hasn't given them their best season already.

Dallas won't be matching 4.6M on Bourque. The compensation is a 2nd.

NYR might not match 6.8M on Cuylle. Compensation is 1st and 3rd

Cuylle is future nyr captain. Itd have to be an insane offer for them not to match. He just has 20G/25A while setting the franchise record for hits all without any pp time. Hes brady tkachuk minus the camera

Cuylle is Drury’s dream player. Physical, scoring touch, high work ethic. He doesn’t let him go unless the compensation is multiple 1sts.

The Rangers have drafted multiple players of his ilk, but he’s the first to really rise to the challenge.

He’s one guy I’d say is just about untouchable.

Somebody said in another thread that Bourque can't be offer sheeted as he only has 74 games played. Need 80 apparently

Habs should OS Cuylle in the 1st + 3rd bracket.

I don’t see Bourque being a fit for the Habs.

Pens would be all over a Borque offer sheet up to the 2nd round tender. I doubt they are alone. I wouldn't be surprised to see him dealt and signed before OS season.

Big brain plan: Trade Rakell and Karlsson for assets. Should return at least a late first each. Use those assets to OS or acquire Borque, Byram, Howard. Borque plays RW next season with Malkin, plays C when he's hurt, moves over full time when retired.

2027 Pens: Sid and the Kids, plus Letang and Rust
McGroarty Crosby Rust
Howard Borque Koivunen
Hallander Novak Tomasino
Ponomarev Lizzote Dewar

Byram Timmins
Pickering Brunicke
Pieniemi Letang
Harding

Murashov
Blomqvist

I wonder if we can move Rusty for a prospect RW too.

I think offering 1 year deals to each for the max in each group would be interesting.

I think Rangers can make an offer for Cuylle.

I think Bourque may get traded for something else before losing him for a 2nd.

You can only use your own picks to offer sheet.
