All players in their prime

Jamie Benn-Anze Kopitar-Leon Draisaitl
Rick Nash-Joe Thornton-Jarome Iginla
Zach Parise-Evgeni Malkin-Mikko Rantanen
Markus Naslund-Auston Matthews-Corey Perry

I don’t like the Matthews/Perry combo. Too many guys just looking for their shot.

Malkin the best player here, but worst linemates.

The Thornton and Kopitar lines would both just be a handful to defend. Nash and Thornton is the safer pick since we know they have worked together, so I’ll go on that direction.

Thank you to everyone who has participated so far. I figured Malkin would garner votes on his own and the size/skill combo of Malkin/Rantanen would attract votes. So I added Parise as a 3rd player who was great, but not quite MVP level like some of the others, to try to make the line more even. In hindsight perhaps a guy like Panarin instead of Parise would have been more interesting.

Malkin is the best player but has by far the worst line mates. Close between line 1 and line 2. Voted 2.

Nash: rocket winner
Thornton: ross+hart winner
Iginla: ross+rocket+lindsay winner

Iginla scored 52 goals in a rough low scoring era with Craig Conroy as his centre, can you imagine with Thornton?
